Dhanya

Dhanya (great, worthy, fortunate, auspicious, happy, vedic astro meaning heavily connected to creative writing) aspect of Lakshmi tied to abundance, particularly of the harvest.

Strawberries symbolism (left here for if I ever decide to add the white strawberry harvest to her outfit): Life, Purity, Love, Fertility, Passion, Protection, Growth, Transformation, Good Luck, New Beginnings, Gratitude, Luck, Achievement.

Hatched on the 5th day of Navaratri, 2nd day for Lakshmi with a special focus on abundance. The Lakshmi days were 4-6 with the colours: gold/yellow, green, grey/silver.

Lakshmi is often visualized with a pet peacock. "The peacock exudes confidence and offers encouragement to shed the old to make way for the new." (cannot link source of quote). According to the internet, Aloka is a Hindi name meaning "Vision, Sight, Aspect, Lustre, Splendour"

The weapon is here to signify that this version of Lakshmi helps fight the evil of poverty. The rapier was chosen in part for aesthetic reasons with the dragon and the rest of the outfit, but also as a "finesse weapon" symbolic of finessing a more fair-minded reallocation of wealth to alleviate poverty. Also, Lakshmi during this particular holiday helps fight and defeat the evils that prevent us from reaching our full potential. The reason for why Lakshmi and Navaratri are a rather involved and personal story. I wanted to honor the spirit and idea behind Navaratri 2022 (and my first celebration of it) with a commemorative dragon.
