Biography
Void - Factory Owner
"Pawns are expendable, but not replaceable."
Void is the terrifying owner of the factory. He is cold hearted, ruthless, and downright dangerous. He has the blood of many dragons on his claws, and is responsible for the running and maintenance of the Factory. Any dragon he captures with the intent of throwing them to work on the lines in the dark factory never sees the light of day again.
The idea struck him when he saw dragons selling themselves away in their old age to be trained to serve their deity. Couldn't he capitalize on the idea? Scrolls of Eternal Youth were a thing, but what about the dragons that still wished to be themselves, rather than hatchling versions of themselves? He needed to get his idea off the ground.
He hired Seiko and her team of scientists to help him realize his goal. They worked day and night to create something like the youth scrolls, but without the reversion to a hatchling state. It wasn't until Seiko made the breakthrough that their work crossed from and act of God to an act of demons.
The first dragon to lose her soul was merely an apprentice. A new serum Seiko had created was supposed to kill off old cells slowly to encourage the creation of brand new cells to mimic an age reversal, but instead the intern became covered in a strange body pattern and weird new colours spread across her wings. Dismissing it as a side effect, Seiko paused a moment before pulling back the plunger of the needle to collect a blood sample for testing.
Instead of blood, however, the vial filled with a glowing silver liquid. The liquid was tested and results could not be determined. However, when it was added to the Elixir and developed and given to an older scientist for testing, the change was almost immediate. The coatl scientist's once frayed and dulled feathers immediately molted and replaced themselves with perfect and bright new ones, and his worn scales were replaced with shiny new ones.
Void was ecstatic. His dream was becoming a reality. He instructed the team to keep going with the project, and the apprentice was used as a source for the new ingredient. They carefully monitored her blood levels and harvested when it was safe to do so. Seiko noticed that her blood levels didn't fall when the serum was injected and raised concern, but the conclusion from everyone was that it was a result of her cells multiplying quickly.
One day, however, the apprentice just wasn't herself. She was cold, emotionless, and her colours had completely faded. They tried to talk to her, but she simply stood in the stall and awaited the days experiments. As time wore on, the apprentice simply faded out of existence, her body getting lighter and lighter until she vanished. Confused scientists looked and tested, but the apprentice was simply gone.
It was then that Seiko made the connection. She hadn't been herself. Soulless. Her blood levels didn't rise or fall because they weren't using her blood. She had made a way to literally take a dragons soul from them.
Void was presented with this information, and he instructed her to keep going on the project less he frame her and her team for the entire thing. Scared for the safety of dragonkind, Seiko continued to work under his demand, slowly killing off the entire team save for herself.
And when Void saw that she was the only dead-eyed member of his staff left, he instructed her to find a dragon she could train as her new apprentice should something happen to her. A wide-eyed Coatl with a head for science and claws for work was found and trained. Void noticed there was something devious in the eyes of the coatl. He watched him closely and realized that he could utilize the contempt he noticed Silfur held over his mentor. After confiding in him, the two decided that they simply couldn't trust Seiko to not divulge the secrets and expose the factory, so they strung her up and threw her into the factory to work.
