Hatched from an abandoned egg near the Hewn City, the newborn dragon wasn't really afraid when she found herself alone amidst the ruins.
The Fire youngling had an innate and carefree sense of curiosity, and she started exploring as soon as her legs were strong enough to withstand her weight. After some wandering about, she came across a crumbling stone arch nested among a few trees. There was an odd, faint glow coming from within it. Mesmerised, the hatchling walked toward the construction and tripped over a stone.
She closed her eyes as she fell, and when she opened them again the blinding light had suddenly turned into dim-lit shadows.

While her place of birth had been deserted, this new location was bursting with activity. Dragons of all kinds were going about their business or congregating in animated groups, laughing and making merry. They seemed to be celebrating something.

A regal looking Guardian approached her, smiled, and held up a scroll marked with strange symbols.

"I was sure I'd find you here today. There's room in our lair and a job for you, if you want it." The older dragon looked her in the eye. "It won't be easy, and some changes need to be made, but I can offer you a home and a purpose".

The hatchling smiled back and nodded. That sounded good. Her stomach rumbled.

The matriarch offered her a piece of cake and a beverage that tingled pleasantly and warmed her limbs as she drank.
She thought she would like it here.

Anniversary is cheerful and enthusiastic, always ready to encourage her lair-mates in their endeavours. She's purposeful, strong-willed, and has brilliant organisational skills, which sometimes can manifest as a slightly overbearing demeanour or be perceived as stubbornness. That's not very often though, most of the time she's a fun-loving dragon that cares a lot about the lair's well being and the happiness of those that surround her.
