N e w s : I’m alive! I moved away from my previous home, traveled 2,000 miles to a civilized place with great doctors and better hospitals. I’m getting treatment for my spine and I can see again, baybeee!! I’m keeping my previous updates because it’s been a wild journey. Maybe someone can have hope trading through all the drama I’ve lived through and see it gets better. Not great yet, just better. |

November 2, 2024 - Blegh, this is not a fun year. I was informed I have a spinal instability in one of my neck joints, which has torn open the dura matter of my spinal cord. It caused a fluid backup that put enormous pressure on my eyes and I have been intermittently blind ever since. I’m beginning treatment to reverse the blindness, but the spinal instability remains and can’t be treated unless I move within driving distance of a specialty hospital. Yikes. No commissions or art for a while since I’m still having trouble seeing or reading. September 10, 2024 - It’s been a while since I updated! I had a long recovery from May and bounced back for a few weeks. Then fire season started, and I caught a nasty bout of bronchitis. The lung damage I sustained from infections this year predisposed me to pneumonia, so I am back to being medically unstable. In the meantime I am taking very slow commissions when I can. May 10, 2024 - I am back home from frequent hospital trips and I am starting outpatient care with extreme dehydration and frailty. I will be having regular intravenous treatment to recover from severe infection. While I am more stable than before, I am considered “medically fragile” and may be unable to respond as quickly as I would like on bad days. February 26, 2024 - I had an ischemic attack due to complications from a viral illness. I have been in the ICU under close supervision and treatment from neurology to restore normal function. January 1, 2024 - Aldarion has been chosen to host my about page! How exciting. Little impulse dragon will share all the fun stories I’ll have this year :> Fresh off having my first Christmas with my mother in law, kalimba locked and loaded and inspired as ever to do some creativity. I’m still recovering from the worst illness of my life, but fingers crossed I’ll start getting better soon. I’m sleeping about 20 hours a day, it has to get better from here. |
