Melehtë

Melehtë is a Guardian with an strong desire to look after those he deems weaker than himself, predominantly smaller breeds like Faes and Veils, as well as hatchlings and small familiars. Although he is still on his Search, his protective nature often causes others to worry if he's taken them on as his Charge.↠ he / him

____As a hatchling, Melehtë was always timid, who hid under his kindly brother's wing. His brother had a gentle soul in a fighter's body, and always assured Melehtë he would be safe by his side. His brother kept his promise; but became ill as Melehtë was reaching adulthood. His once-powerful brother now had to rely on Melehtë, weakening each day as illness took its hold, all while Melehtë grew larger and stronger. Melehtë was powerless to help his disease, but stayed faithfully by his side until the end. After his brother's death, he became obsessed with caring for those he deemed "weak", often regardless of whether his protection was needed or desired.
____Melehtë often pushes people away with his obsession to protect those around him, which leads him to become bossy and controlling. He assures himself that he doesn't look down on these dragons- after all, he respected his brother above all else, even when he was too weak to fly- but he can be overbearing and patronising.

↠ he'd never been on a ship before joining Erinqua's crew
↠ he is not good with hatchlings at all, and doesn't particularly like them outside of his complex to protect them
↠ he's not all that smart, but not really kind enough to be a himbo. he has good motivations (sort of) just poor implementation!
↠ on a surface level he gets along well with big or strong dragons, but he craves looking after people weaker than himself (at least he has some friends though)
↠ he has had many familiars in the past, but they all run away from him. due to this, and the death of his brother, he has a pretty big abandonment complex
