"Oh you're interested in some mushrooms? Well, I did just harvest these–DO NOT step there! Those are spores of [insert crazy rare mushroom] which I have been carefully cultivating for exactly 26 months, 2 weeks, 18 days, and 13 hours. If the temperature or pH gets thrown off by a single decimal they'll never produce any fruiting bodies you absolute fool!"

  • The clan's mycologist
  • Basically never leaves his garden. He will only do so if he desperately needs something, and most of the time will pay other dragons to complete his errands.
  • He refuses to leave his farm 'unprotected', and insists that no other dragon would have sufficient knowledge to properly maintain it if he left even a few minutes.
  • His mushroom farm is a very precisely maintained ecosystem. Competitive species are planned carefully around one another, and a strict maintenance schedule is followed.
  • He has an incredibly specific and detailed map out the front of his farm that his few visitors must follow exactly, down to the footstep.
  • His neighbors are all scared of him but he grows good mushrooms so he's tolerated.
  • He is not interested in talking with you unless it is about his mushrooms. Time is money, or well, mushrooms.
  • Unlike the rest of the clan, he does not live in the Starwood Strand for its magical properties. According to his calculations, this is the place in Sornieth with the most optimal conditions for cultivating as many different species as possible.
  • Despite being a light dragon living in arcane lands, his favourite festivals are plague and shadow, for obvious reasons.

Bronk has a 'complicated' relationship with Ferdinand. Since he is a fellow farmer (although not one of mushrooms), Bronk believes that they have a strong rivalry. However, despite how competitively he treats the poor bogsneak, he also considers one of the only dragons in the clan worth talking to. Ferdinand is completely unaware of(or just chooses to ignore) Bronk's antics, and instead treats almost him akin to a grandson.
