Missia was imprisoned in Kodomo jail, being one of the last hatchlings born during the success of Flauntlair. When their leadership fell by internal conflict, she was imprisoned with her parents. Missia was, unfortunately too young and small to remember the chaos and the violence of the taking of Flauntlair, as far as they remember, their earlier life was spent in the frozen jail.
As a desperate attempt to keep the diplomacy going, the leader of Asthery pleaded with Karabudak to release the young Missia, who was innocent, and thus should not have to pay for the former leaders' crimes.
Missia was sent to Porto, Asthery's oldest and most faithful ally. She now spends her time with Vadja, who loathes how Porto remains allied but neutral, while her people suffer. The veilspun pities Missia a lot, protecting them, agreeing at least that the little aether was innocent.
She is often seen with the younger members of Porto, trying to befriend dragons. She gets along quite well with young Jephen and Priti.
