Akila is logic-oriented, while Meraki is driven by emotions.

Meraki & Akila, collectively known as just Aki (or Merakila if you like longer names), have a bit of a "left brain right brain" situation, where Meraki (the right head) is outgoing and emotional, while Akila (left head) is more reserved and logical. They balance each other out, and while they don't always agree on things, they've gotten pretty good at knowing when to listen to their counterpart... Mostly.

Akila tends to come off as cold and uncaring, especially in contrast to the bubbly and friendly disposition of Meraki, but she just has a different way of showing she cares. You can tell when Akila cares about someone because she will go out of her way to try to solve their problems for them. Meraki, on the other talon, loves showering her friends in gifts and affection. Between the two of them, they're actually a very loving and reliable friend to have, if a little strange at times.
