Trash Burner

While her brother takes care of documents and blueprints, Incinerator really lives up to her name: she LOVES to burn things. Turns out that if a fire is big and hot enough, it can burn nearly anything to ash! And big clans create big caches of refuse. To keep the Tower from getting overrun with trash, the leaders have set aside a big container on each floor for any waste and refuse to be discarded into. Each week, these bins get flown out to a pocket of dry earth a little ways away from the Tower, left to bake in the dry desert heat. Sedar was worried about the environmental consequences this might have, but luckily, there’s some brave souls who are willing to do something about it. And Incinerator is one of them. Night sorts the rubbish into three piles: paper, organic, and other. Or, more accurately, he pulls out the “paper” and “organics” from the rest of the rubbish pile before Incinerator starts excitedly pouring flammable fluid on everything that remains in the trash pit.
