Biography
NOT FOR SALE, TRADE, OR LENDING

Some travelers follow roads; others follow waterways. Those who follow the shoreline may soon find themselves in another world, where the waters and the sands are as pure as they were when the Eleven first created them.
It is Pharazir who makes these places so. She rests atop a rocky crag, or perhaps a dune, looking down at the clear blue sea. A hazy figure, barely visible against the fiercely blue sky, until she turns to look.
Pharazir welcomes company. She soon glides down from her perch and falls into step beside the inexhaustible traveler. Polite greetings, idle remarks, maybe a question or two. Anything to get them talking. Thinking.
Remembering.
There’s a reason Pharazir’s loci are always on the shore. On a beach similar to the ones where many a hatchling spent happy childhood days. Where the sands are clean and unspoiled; the sky cheerfully, relentlessly blue. Where the clouds one sees are white and distant, unlikely to shed any rain.
Where the waves keep lapping, endlessly so, as if to sweep away one’s worries.
“The happiest moments of your life,” she whispers, and the traveler remembers vividly. A trophy held high above the head. A kiss and a loving gaze. A bell ringing above a door, the welcoming scent of a hot meal. An old toy, long thought to be lost, miraculously found...
The memories come flooding back, here on this eternally perfect shore.
It might take hours, even days...but eventually, the traveler finds themselves elsewhere again. Walking a well-trodden path, back to hearth and home.
The memories remain, but this time, entwined among them are strange impressions—
The crunch of sand beneath their feet.
A sense of soaring immensity.
No walls, no ceilings...only an endlessly stretching shoreline.
An infinite horizon. A wide-open, empty blue sky.
And a distant figure, barely visible against the glare of the sunlight, slowly turning to look.
Pharazir remains.
She rests atop her high perch again, but now she looks down at several small glass vessels. They glitter like gemstones in the light. Their contents shine brighter still.
From those memories, she has harvested—
Triumph, ablaze with hot, fierce brilliance.
Hope, small and seemingly fragile, but with a pure and piercing glare.
Comfort, its glow soft, but steady and unwavering.
Love in all its myriad hues, dancing like a flame.
And so many more, shining more radiantly than suns ever could.
Such bright and beautiful things hold great value among Pharazir’s kind. She will take these treasures back to the artisans of her court. There, these emotions will be shaped into even greater things: a sword that can cleave anything, perhaps; or a nigh invincible suit of armor. Perhaps a lantern with an undying flame, capable of piercing even death’s darkness. Or a potion that can cure any ill...
It’s no surprise that such objects are exquisite — after all, the materials they were wrought from astound even the gods.
Pharazir’s thoughts drift idly to the mortals: “Do they seek these treasures for what they can do? Or perhaps they seek that from which these treasures were made...”
She decides it doesn’t really matter. A talisman wrought from hope, for example — in the right hands, it’ll inspire more hope. And more joy. More awe. More wonder...
For now, she is content to remain here a little longer. Idly twirling her parasol, enjoying the cooling breeze across her scales. Watching the endless waves lap at the infinite, endless shore.

All faeries are vain, but the Summer Court is the most vain of them all... ♦ Pharazir's name origin ♦ Gen 5: Oberon & Titania » Magus » Soleil » Meriwether » Konatsu » Pharazir |
Congratulations on adopting a Descendant of the Summer Court! Self-absorbed and petty, the Summer Court fae gossip as easily as they breathe. The bright light of the summer sun highlights all imperfections, but many things can be hidden just below the surface of the ocean. The Summer Court is most well known for granting questing dragons perfection, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
