Rising before the sun, as I usually do.
The way when it rises, frames the wheat in a halo of light.
Tending to the harvest crop, carrots, potatoes, beetroot too.
It’s hard work, yet requires tender care.
Water, Pull, wash, repeat.
It’s quiet, yet not.
Gentle chirps of birds above, the trickles of the nearby stream, unlike the city,
It is simple yet serene.
Singing to the flowerbeds so they may grow,
and grow they shall!
Tulips, roses, gardenias, hydrangeas, you’ll see.
The trees dance along to the song, shaking their arms in windy weather.
As if saying, “Keep going, sing some more!”
