I've always wondered about the dynamics between these two. Crim can buy up to five items an hour, vs Pinkerton giving away one item per day. However, I'd also guess that more players take an item from Pinkerton each day vs selling to Crim on the regular, so that might even it out a bit.
In summary: is Crim's hoard growing or shrinking? Alas, no good way to answer this apart from some kind dev doing a lot of maths on the backend xD

Something I just realized several days is that Crim says she's cataloguing everything she buys. Doesn't that mean she'd eventually realize Pinkerton is taking things, even if he only does give one thing per day?
I guess it's possible the catalogue has gotten so big she can't keep track of when something suddenly isn't there any more. If you have ten things, it's easy to tell when something is missing. If you have 100, it's a lot harder to tell if one specific thing is missing, even if you've got a list of everything.
And if you have 1,000 things? Yeah you can have the most meticulously kept catalogue in existence, it won't help you tell if anyone one or even ten (or even 100) things are missing lol.

I NEVER go to Crim, but I collect from Pinkerton EVERY day, so I'm doing my part to work for Pinkerton's side!! (I feel like more people are probably like me though, so I would guess that her hoard is shrinking!)

I mean I'm a Collector of Things IRL, I'm currently trying to inventory my collection for insurance purposes and WOW it's a chore. And I don't even have a lot compared to many collectors in the same hobby (we call them black hole collectors lol, that definitely fits Crim).
So yeah a few small things could definitely walk away from my collection and I would not notice.
