I love the pachy gene. While I enjoy dusthides how they are, I also really like the genes that make them less bald (pachy, antlers, spores, to an extent batty). I've been looking for a pachy dusthide for what feels like forever, but I can't find one I like enough to take home! There are never more than a couple pages of them on the AH, which makes me want to make a pair, but I can't yet :P I generally haven't had the energy to use dragon search and hit up random people, but the AH results for the past few months may be forcing my hand lol.
So are there any genes you're dying to own a dragon with, but just can't find the right one?

Antlers is from the idea one of my most fav genes, but I still have not found a dragon that I like it on.
Maybe once it's ported to more breeds, but I'll keep looking out.

antlers for me as well but that's entirely because I'm just not a big fan of dusthides. the minute this gene goes to another breed I like and actually looks really nice on them (maybe a neck-ier breed will make the mane of hair look a bit more fluid and eye-catching) that might change immediately.

I remember when Gaolers came out and I saw Scorpion. Thought cool, I really need to get a dragon with that tert!

Deco on Cirri. Great concept, execution is... just not. The color is always off, or there's a secondary color that's weird and doesn't work, or it's just too busy with busy primaries and secondaries being the norm. It doesn't fit the gene set it came with. I really want to find a stunning Cirrus with it, but it hasn't happened yet.
Same with Ornaments on most dragons. It looks like it's just feathers tacked on awkwardly instead of something ornate properly wrapping around the dragon. Hate the way it frames the faces of most breeds, like some kind of Goldilocks hair curls instead of actual ornamentation. I really wish the placement was nicer and done more thoughtfully.
Deco on Cirri. Great concept, execution is... just not. Seconding Deco. Love the idea, can't make it work. I know that I would be enjoying all of the genes if they were on more breeds, but sometimes it's REALLY hard to make it work with a limited selection. As a matter of fact, I am "fed up" with Ancients currently because I just can't work with them until they get at least one or preferably two expansions. Thorntails? Cirri? Sorry, I don't know them. They have literally ONLY worked with dragons whose genes I was satisfied with and could change them into said dragons because they just happen to have them.

i have a few (3 scarab beetle fandragons, 1 recent primal g1 purchase, 2 earth toned cuties, 1 primal I constantly forget about) but there are just not really that many people selling dusthides that adhere to my tastes when I go looking.
also, i am a special eye collector, which does not help since multigaze looks absolutely (word i cannot say)ing awful on them... same happens with thorntails, multigaze looks so awful on them that i have to actively avoid getting multigaze ones, which means that i collect way fewer of them.
