Her clan spent 6 months there, before moving to the Mirrorlight Promenade. She notices one of the crownholders, and decides to fight them for it, as she needed to win the crown for her to go home happily. She checked the daily question again, and scoffed at it. "Integrity? Provided you aren't evil, integrity is hardly the most important thing! You are going to have to be wise to be able to do anything, since wisdom can be more useful than integrity, because you wouldn't steer the dragons into a harmful situation if you were wise, so you wouldn't have to save them by showing great integrity! While compassion is a handy thing to have, Wisdom is by far the most important. Any good leader needs all of those, of course, but a wise leader can easily get charisma, and integrity and compassion are mainly how the dragon is raised." (This is Mystical's person opinion which I happen to agree with) Mystical walked over to the crownholder and said hello. Better to butter em up and then try to take the crown while their guard is down, although it would be better if they would give it freely. She engaged in small talk with the dragon, learning that the dragon's name was TheTeaParty. She saw other dragons arriving, and decided to try and make a move. She nicely asked "So how did you come by that crown?". Anyone could see where that would be going.

Day 2 Question:
I think integrity is the most important because a leader should care about their subjects and not be easily swayed by outside forces/people (basically being morally strong). At the same time, charisma is also really important to becoming someone that others want to follow but truthfully they are all necessary qualities to have!

Day 2 Question of the Day
Quote:
Our of the following four, which royal / leadership quality do you think is most important and why? (You can answer from a dragon's opinion or from your personal experience) Compassion, Wisdom, Charisma, Integrity

Integrity is the most important royal / leadership quality. We must be able to trust in our leaders before we will follow them.

While Honeyheart is not truly a kingly ruler of much more than his mate's heart, he's got a crown and the wisdom that comes from having so very very many children.

"What is important in a ruler can depend upon one's perspective.

To become a ruler, if not simply born one, most definitely requires Charisma above all else. Even a born ruler may find a lack of Charisma leading to the loss of a throne. And while Compassion and Integrity are certainly to be desired, and surely the things those ruled would judge most necessary, it is Wisdom that will truly hold a throne.

Wisdom decides when compassion can be afforded, when integrity must be sacrificed, and where charisma can most usefully be applied. Wisdom above all else, determines a ruler! A cruel ruler applies Wisdom to their own ends, a good one expends Wisdom to the support and security of the people. It is up to the people's Wisdom to see which is which."

Knowledge unchallenged is wisdom lost.
Arriving in the Hewn City, the Fae was intrigued to find so many other competitors. They had been certain those who thought themselves strong would have chosen the Emperor's Wake, and those who thought themselves personable would have chosen the Promenade; so many dragons in the City meant most of the competition thought themselves either wise or mysterious. (They would be the last to admit that is why they had traveled here as well)

They were pleased to see the Pearlcatcher had taken them up on their offer, though they could not help to feel disappointed that she no longer bore an heir's crown. Still, they approached, fins down in apparent empathy. "Unfortunate to have lost a crown so soon, but there is still time to regain lost glory."

The Fae studied the two new crown-bearers who had come to the City. Both held themselves with the air of practiced grace, as though they already held power before having a crown placed upon their heads. The pale Imperial was speaking to his two companions in a low voice, imparting a lesson of some sort. The dark Skydancer stood apart with her companion, watching and seemingly wary. She looked up as Lachlan approached.
---

When it came time for the Fae to demonstrate what would make them a good leader, they hesitated for just a moment before taking to the platform.

"I have come, not for glory or fame, but to prove that we need not fear things we do not yet understand. Only through seeking knowledge can we truly find our purpose. We have much to learn from the Deities, from the Beastclans, from Sornieth itself, and from those dragons that have come before. With a nod, they flitted from the platform and back into the crowd.

@/Avmire - missing is unaware for Lachlan's history, so they do not know how helpful or hurtful their words may be. They do plan on sticking to their alliance for now.

And hey fellow Hewn City adventurers! Please feel free to include missing in your replies and/or stories! They will respond as they see fit. :)

Daily Question: Day Two
Which leadership quality do you think is most important and why?

12052330.png As the current leader of the clan, Princess would argue that Compassion is the most important quality a leader can have. If you understand the plights of those you are leading and are able to appreciate each individual for who they are and what they need, you are better able to serve their needs and the needs of the clan as a whole.

missing is arguing that Wisdom is most important, followed then by Compassion. You cannot solve problems you know nothing about, after all.
