romanimpi remember being in a fandom where one of the main love interests was british but a bunch of non-brits were writing fanfic and wanting to be accurate so they would ask questions in discord about britishisms etc except that the way they asked was to just post a gif of the union jack and every time without fail it somehow summoned like half a dozen british wlw to the chat. one time they just posted a gif of black tea being made and it worked on me (commonwealth) too idk I just showed up like my tea-drinking senses were tingling
