Archive messages
Archive messages
Archiving your messages allows you to unclutter your Messages but keep message threads for future access.
Note that if a host or guest sends a new message in the thread, the archived message will return to your All messages folder.
Clear your Airbnb messages
Only full message threads between a host, co-host, or guest can be archived—not individual messages.
Archive a conversation on desktop
- Click Messages
- Click the three dots
next to the message thread you want to archive - Click Archive
Delete messages
At this time, it’s not possible to delete individual messages or entire message threads on Airbnb. Archiving removes conversations from your messages, but they can still be accessed.
Individual messages that you've sent can be unsent within 24 hours after sending. Find out more about how to unsend a message.
Find your archived messages
Restore your archived messages on desktop
- Click Messages
- Click Filter
and then click Archived - Click the three dots next to the message thread you want to restore
- Click Unarchive
