I don't know why people complains about them charging money to see review. How else are they keep objective otherwise? If they start getting benefit from manufacturers, then it becomes another biased website. And leave alone that they save your tons of money if you make the right purchase.
But just saying, their methodology needs consistent improvement, as it is hard to take into account of all factors of what makes the "best" of a product category.

Amazing website, after years of using it for free, it was finally time to create a yearly membership and give something back.

The website saved me so much time and money buying the correct thing from the get-go.

Finding products and viewing actually measurable comparison is the only way to shop. As a mechanical engineer I truly appreciate the mentality behind the website.

Really great company that is partial/customer oriented and provides reliable and clearly concise information to allow us to make the best informed decision. Really recommend! They keep launching new product categories and make test bench updates.

I expected from the creators of this project more than a childish desire to earn money. The very fact that they initially positioned themselves as a free project makes the situation even worse and also the impression of you. The whole thing is that they are so lazy to make a completely closed access they made 3 reviews in one day? I can put in my browser automatic clearing of cache and cookies that will allow me now "unlimited" to use the site. You guys are so funny and stupid. It seems to me that even if you make the site fully paid, without free content it won't help you as people will still literally copy. 1 person will pay, 1000 will get it for free.

Used to be great, now charge money to see reviews. Move onto the next free site.

Something that does make this site unique is the sheer amount of detail their reviews have that you don't see anywhere else, and it can actually be overwhelming. Also, NEVER blindly trust their preset ratings, because when they say that something might be really good for a usage you prioritize in, there might be a "gotcha" hidden that you might really care about but doesn't affect the overall preset score too much (like build quality), and there might be a component that you might not care so much about that rtings treats as crucial, so yeah. Try to look at all of their tests and factor in what you want and what you don't care about before making a final buying decision. You don't want to immediately buy something just because rtings said it's good for a certain usage you're planning on using it for, but end up facing an issue that was mentioned by rtings but not really prioritized.

If time is money to you and you don't want to look at a bunch of statistics to get the best for you, other places might be better for you.

Something that really pisses me off about this site is the limited reviews thing, but that can be bypassed by cookie clearing or not allowing rtings to use cookies (which isn't recommended for people wanting to use an rtings account as well), but there are some product reviews that you absolutely cannot get access to without paying for insider access (like early access reviews, and all soundbar and printer reviews), so yeah.

Very informative and they've covered a large range of products. They go pretty in depth with the products if you ask me! I find myself constantly coming back to this site when wanting to compare similar products

This website gives, at least to me, detailed information and what I needed to know to make my choice when buying tech. I really don't understand the 1-star reviews...

I have only recently visited the website whilst comparing gaming monitors and I am very much impressed. In hopes to help further improve the website, here is a list of pros and cons in my opinion:
PROS
- The comparison tool is nice and handy, easy and straightforward to use.
- Question marks behind each specification with detailed descriptions and explanations really show that the people at rtings.com know what they are doing and are more than glad to share new and useful knowledge with their users.
- I can only imagine how much raw writing, testing and cross referencing work it must have taken to build the website up and get it to the point where it is today. I can't feel anything but respect towards that amount of work and dedication.

CONS
- On some monitors, from my experience LG 27GN800-B, there isn't a distinction between native 10bit colors and "artificial"(being 8bit+FRC). It would be nice to have that detail taken into account as other sources show that my LG monitor is 8bit+FRC whilst rtings.com says it's just 10bit.
- I like the way the info is laid out on the monitor pages, but I kind of wish there was a sub-division of the Table of Contents for the Test Results too. I know right now it's manageable with a simple Ctrl+F and typing in what you are looking for, but I think it would make the existing table of contents feel less like it hangs off-center to the side and simultaneously make scrolling through the review page when looking for a more specific part of it much easier.

False information.
"Grip width for the Dark Core Pro RGB is 54mm." "Palm grip good for small hands? Yes".
Grip width is almost 7mm. No grip is good for small hands although it may be tolerable. But tolerable is not a Yes to can be used comfortably with small hands. No, don't come saying your finger slipped trying to write a 6 in the grip width, because it's neither 64mm.
Also 10 in software compatibility?. It runs in Windows and all else. Yes, if by good compatibility you mean locking up your task bar and not allowing games to run until you shut down the frigging program.

The reviewers are completely clueless.

For example they review keyboards with linear switches and then add "no tactile feedback" as a negative.

Also, a lot of the info on their reviews is wrong.

rtings is great website for electronics reviews especially TV sets. theyr reviews are pretty accurate and not sponsored. they review cameras, headphones, monitors, printers, vacuum cleaners, mouse and speakers. I purchased my vizio M658-G1 TV based on theyr review and I absolutely love my tv.
highly recommended.

Wanted to find out more about which headphones to buy but under each category it showed the same headphones every single time. 0/10 would not recommend.
