I noticed that Dan John sells the exact same products at very different prices depending on the country.
Example:
• EU website price: €39.99
• Swiss website price: CHF 59.90
At current exchange rates, €39.99 is about CHF 38 to 40.
This means Swiss customers pay nearly 50% more for the exact same item.
I contacted customer service to ask if this was due to taxes, logistics or customs fees. Their answer was simply that it is a “commercial decision”.
So this is not related to costs, it is just intentional price discrimination based on location.
Very disappointing and unfair for Swiss customers.

I ordered a suit one week ago on the website and never heard back from them. It was never sent, no explanation why. I wrote an email, no response either. After calling, they told me they’ll contact the warehouse and get back to me- no apologies, no remorse and of course she never got back to me either. I needed the suit for an important event and trusted the “2-5 days delivery” promise on the website. Not sure how an order can simply get “lost”. Order #221504…

The quality is the worst ever. I bought a bag and it brokes at the first use. Is a cheap and bad quality brand

What a mess - I ordered two orders with two distinct order numbers to be shipped to the United States. I agreed to any tariffs which I paid. Dan John sent only one order, as well as tracking for one order and now customer service continues to respond only to the order that was delivered and not the order that remains with them. Also - all of the product is now on sale despite paying twice as much for product I did not receive. Customer service is terrible on non-existent. Numbers are 212141 and 212180 - you can do the rest. Only one order was delivered and your customer service team does not respond. Tracking was sent for one order only and only one order was delivered. You need to fix it immediately.

I shopped at Dan John in Civitavecchia. The shirt I purchased was to small. I returned to the store to exchange as was asked where I was from. When I told them I was not European they refused to refund my money. It’s sad in today’s world that discrimination is still alive and well.

I made multiple orders online and i understand that they use very heavy shipment boxes because they look cool, and i accept to pay because i like thier products. Recently they shipped out a single order i made into two separate boxes and now i had to pay 40 euro for aramex 3rd party shipment because they decided to put 1 shirt in a 1kg box and i ended up having to pay for a mistake they made. When i asked for them to cover this shipping cost or atleast give me a voucher so i can continue shopping from them they decided to stop responding to my emails and whatsapp messages.

Extremely rude staff. We were berated for trying on clothes which weren't 'test' samples even though this wasn't apparent in the shop. When we said this to the manager, he dismissed us! Avoid as there are much nicer shops to visit in Sicily!

this is the only shop where you feel welcomed as soon as you enter i had an amazing worker named antonio who walked me through each piece of clothing and would know my sizing by eye they make sure you feel at home and are happy to answer any questions i highly recommend this shop i personally shopped in bari where they were brilliant help and all very happy to help with any questions and knew there material well 👍👍

After having a great experience shopping every else in Italy I stopped at this place at the airport and of course it was terrible. Avoid if you’re traveling!
After doing Unlike most luxury brands that use Global Blue for instant VAT refunds, this store uses a mail-in VAT process that feels like a deliberate way to make you pay more. If you purchase after security (where VAT refunds are typically auto-approved since you’re past customs), they still require you to manually process the refund — but conveniently, there’s no facility to do this in the terminal. Frustrating and misleading.
I’m not mistaken as stated in your reply - electronic VAT refunds don’t require a stamp, especially in departures since the merchandise is leaving. Furthermore your sales associate specifically said passport control would stamp - they had never heard of the process. Why you continue to double down on trying to deceive people beyond me

Disappointed with the quality – hoping for a solution
I recently bought a linnen shirt from Dan John and was really disappointed with the quality. The fabric has several weaving defects (wave-like flaws), which make the shirt look messy. To make matters worse, there’s already a small hole in the fabric—even though I haven’t even worn it yet.
I expected better from this brand. A product like this should never pass quality control.

Run away from this store!
The staff are obnoxious, criticizing customers in front of them, but they’re unlucky because we understand and speak Italian! Which we said nothing about.
The staff are haughty and want to pretend they're in a luxury store where shirts cost 30 euros.
Whether at Gucci or Chanel, true luxury boutiques, you're greeted very differently even if you're dressed in "cool". And yes to the staff at Dan John Venice: clothes don't make the man!
Your management will be informed.

Appalling customer service. Dan John opened stores in 2024 in the uk, closed themby the end of Jan 2025… for what ever reason.
I had a right to a return, emailed them to find a way and of course: no response what so ever. This Italian company should not be allowed to operate again in the UK!

I have bought a WHITE “linen” summer suit (70%polyester+30% linen) and of course because it is white after wearing it two times it is dirty.
So as i usually do with all my suits I put it on delicate cold water cycle in the washing machine along with two other blazers from Zara(which are always amazing after washing). The suit is dry and A SIZE AND A HALF SMALLER.
Do not waste your money, 180€ down the drain at this moment and you are better off buying from other brands for much much cheaper and with much much better materials. After a cold wash a suit should not be shorter two sizes. It is up to my elbows almost.

Avoid buying online from this store, especially if you're outside the EU. They don't cover VAT charges, leaving you to pay extra fees—something they don’t disclose at checkout. When we reached out for help, they claimed it was in their policy, which was simply not true. The only mention of extra charges is for returns, not for initial purchases.
Overall, terrible customer experience. They offer zero support or compensation for these hidden fees. Save your money and shop elsewhere!

Beautiful overall and at a reasonable price (200 euros), it goes without saying that we can not ask for 100% natural at this price, it is logical.
On the other hand, I think you can ask for something well-cut, I ordered two different sizes for the pants to be sure, the higher size fits me about (size 50), but on both pants: the same problem, one leg of the pants is shorter than the other.
Only problem I had, otherwise beautiful packaging, well packed and a nice suit.
Ah well.
Dramatis Personae, the Store Manager, a dense Customer, a pair of elusive Capri trousers. Location, the DJ premises at Trento, NE Italy.
And it came to pass that this'ere walrus-sized scribe had ogled a fine pair of cream coloured Capri trousers ( sale). Alas store was innocent of the correct size for the above mentioned walrus so shop floor assistant (of Brazilian persuasion, btw), promptly instructed nearby sister store to deliver a replacement pair. So far so good. Correct Capri trousers were deliverd by return for the walrus to try on and buy. Which the useless git did.Only to realize that what he actually needed was the first, original pair. Groans, etc etc. No sweat, stand back and let it happen. Enter Store Manager Valentina who took control with consumate ease. Swiftly quietly and deftly pairs were exchanged, no question asked and a good time was had by all.
Valentina once more got things done. Hakol Bseder
