Bought a watch on 20th December

Bought a watch on 20th December, was delayed by a significant amount of time. Still awaiting this watch or a refund, customer service has no contact number to speak to directly, been liaising with emails back and forth (they take days to reply). It’s currently been a month and a half still no watch or refund! Going to contact Trading Standards to get involved now.
*Upon reading your reply I can see by the tracking that it’s been reported damaged at Manises, Spain. Then there was an attempted collection, I’m just really struggling to understand why there is no phone number to speak to someone, rather than just messaging through here! I have sent multiple emails and have been left in the dark. Why is there no understanding and being in the other persons shoes?!?! I have no watch and my money is in your pockets as a company, there is no compensation being offered for the inconvenience this has caused!

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.

We completely understand how frustrating this situation has been, especially as the watch was intended to be an important Christmas gift. Delays during the holiday period are never ideal, and we genuinely regret that the courier did not deliver within the estimated timeframe.

That said, we would like to clarify one important point: we are unfortunately not able to issue a refund for a returned parcel until it has physically arrived back at our warehouse. According to the return tracking reference (41082583653), the parcel is still in transit and has not yet been received by us. Until it is back in our possession, the item legally remains within the courier’s network, and we cannot process a refund for goods we have not yet received.

The back-and-forth in this case has sadly been caused by the courier’s handling and transit delays, which were outside of our control. As soon as the parcel is returned and scanned into our warehouse, the refund will be processed promptly in line with our policy.

We can see from the latest tracking updates that the parcel is now close to delivery back to our warehouse, so we are expecting to receive it shortly. As soon as it is scanned into our facility, the refund will be processed promptly.

We truly regret the inconvenience this has caused and appreciate your patience while the courier completes the return process.

Scam! Lies and don’t exist!

We paid £350 for express delivery. Then ups didn’t deliver as they wanted further fees which we have already paid shop 24 for! Hundred of calls and emails all went in nothing! 2 months since then and we still have not got any response nor refund! I’ll sue them.

First and foremost, it is not technically possible to pay £350 in shipping or express delivery fees in our shop. Our checkout system does not allow shipping costs anywhere near that amount, under any circumstances. This alone strongly suggests that the transaction you describe did not take place with ShopBetter™.

Secondly, we cannot find any customer, order, payment, or correspondence under your name in our records. We have carefully reviewed our system and see no history matching the details you have provided. For this reason, we must assume that:
1. this message is either sent in error,
2. or it relates to a completely different webshop,
3. or there has been some misunderstanding about which company you purchased from.

If this assumption is incorrect, we are of course open to being corrected.

We would also like to point out that our support team is always reachable at support@shopbetter24.co.uk, and we find no record of any emails or support requests from you. Sounds good, but for UK customers not good at all!

Placed order and paid for 4 x 6 pack of wine glasses 11th Dec. Quick invoice and confirmation of UPS was the delivery service. BUT! from Spain!
Now 23rd Dec nothing received except 4 emails from UPS saying delayed, then delayed further, now I need to complete customs forms! and likely storage costs of £16.20p per day!

Not very happy

Not very happy, Had to pay £60 import duty, and saw no mention of this when i placed the order, or that it was coming from abroad, also had to pay £60 vat that i shouldn't have had to pay and can't claim back.
It's been 11 day's now, I hope it actually arrives.

‘ShopBetter’ proved to be more of ‘ShopBest’ in my opinion.
I’ve searched internet in and out for a basic mica heater of a specific power output but nothing was available on a UK market .
‘Shopbetter’ came to my rescue with exactly what I required.
And I cannot be more grateful for a SUPERB service provided along the way.
Price of shipping , by UPS : £6.51, I thought it was too good to be true . But it was true . I’ve placed my order on Tue and parcel landed on my doorstep following Mon morning - delivery was super fast / order came from Spain !!! /.
I’m very impressed with ‘ShopBetter’ - would recommend it without hesitation - informative emails, about the progress of delivery, were sent promptly.

Item didn't get my item and they are…

I didn't get my item and they are asking me to pay to chat with someone. There is no phone number on the website.
On the website it says they will dispatch the item within 24 hours. in reality its been almost a week and no delivery

And from the information provided, we assume that you have placed an order with a different company, as we do not offer 'paid' chat of any kind ; when live this is very much free of charge 24/7.
On a separate note we do in deed pick&pack within 24 hours on 90% of the orders placed on our webshops, ensuring as fast delivery as possible. Though incident can and will occur from time to time, as well as obviously our warehouses are closed during the weekends, which prolongs these timeframes, as with any other average webshop.

Terrible Customer Service

I ordered L’Occitaine Eau de Toilette on 03 March and have an order number (I took a screenshot shot at payment stage). You’ve taken the money from my bank account already but I’ve not even received an email acknowledgement or information about when the order will be dispatched. I can’t get through by phone. I won’t pay to use the Just Answer live chat as it’s an extra cost. I’ve emailed. This is terrible customer service. Please let me know what’s happening as I need the product for a gift writhin the next seven days.

Det er umuligt at få kontakt med…

Det er umuligt at få kontakt med Shopbetter. Den 24. januar sendte jeg både en besked via deres online kontaktformular på hjemmesiden og en e-mail, hvor jeg beskrev, at mit Ambilight ikke længere fungerede på tv'et. Desværre har jeg ikke modtaget noget svar – bortset fra deres automatiske besked: "Hej, tak fordi du kontakter os. Vi har modtaget din henvendelse (#ID) og går straks i gang med at lede efter en løsning." og nu har vi den 3. Marts uden svar. Har forsøgt at kontakte dem igen uden held.

Sadly we can't see that you ever made a purchase at our shop (missing information), so we assume that the reason for the delay, is because of that.
Additionally if there was an order which was cancelled e.g. due to issues at the warehouse / late shipping from the courier, refunds are always fully applied, and can be up to 5-10 days before back in your account ; those are just standard card processing procedures, sadly.

Be aware

Be aware. I love how the prices look good on large electricals, example a TV but when you look closer at the import fees....well yeah, it puts the price back right up to it's original registered retail price.

I'll pass.

What a wonderful review of our little shop, and from a customer that have never even placed an order - what a treat!

So just to get this straight; you found the information about the product, the pricing, the estimated cost of import (which is listed directly on the product page) and more, and thought to yourself; "I don't like the cost and clear information, here's a bad review for you"?

We appreciate that some potential customers like yourself, have a lot of sparetime on their hands, but if you let us know directly the next time you want to complain about something like information already listed on the product page, we would perhaps be able to assist you with alternative solutions, rabat and discount or otherwise general information.

We look forward to receiving an actual order from you and if you have any questions in regards to pricing, possible import fees for certain products or even if you just want to have a friendly chat, we will be right here, waiting for your reply.

Subscription scams!

I warn you, these are scammers. I made a purchase and paid about 7 euros for 3-day access. After 3 days, 33 euros were withdrawn from my account. It turned out to be a paid subscription, renewable every 28 days. The goods arrived damaged, I filed a complaint and placed and paid for a new order. And the delay began, people were asked to confirm the order even though it had been paid. In fact, the idea was to delay the new shipment until 28 days had passed in order to debit the subscription fee from the account. Be careful.

We do not offer misleading signups, upgrades or otherwise ; as everything is clearly stated in terms of conditions, pricing and otherwise, when signing up anywhere on our site, incl. in the emails you receive upon a signup.

If you have any questions or problems with your account or membership, you are always welcome to contact our customer service, who will respond within 24 hours every day of the week.
Same goes for any orders you might have placed, where we offer a very clear refund and/or return policy, should there be anything in regards to broken / damaged orders e.g.
