First Light Home Services did an excellent job replacing our roof and supporting us through a very difficult insurance process.
Joshua started our storm damage claim with our insurance company in early February 2025 and stayed supportive even after multiple denials. We eventually hired a public adjuster, then an attorney, and finally got approval in mediation in October 2025. First Light was ready to go as soon as the claim was approved.
Chase, our Project Manager, and Keieth, our Site Supervisor, ran a smooth project with skilled, respectful crews and thorough cleanup. Adam in the office kept us informed step by step, and Katie handled the invoices and payments clearly and professionally.
They installed a full GAF roofing system with the Golden Pledge Warranty, which gives us confidence in both the materials and workmanship. Our roof was completed on December 18, 2025, and we are very pleased with the results.
We highly recommend First Light Home Services for any roofing work.

If I could leave a review lower than 1 star I would. HOME ADVISOR/ANGI'S IS A SCAM!!!
Where to begin...
1. What is promised in the sales calls in not what is delivered. All my business owners would probably agree that the definition of a "lead" is the opportunity to close. Well this marketing companies definition of a lead is a phone number and email that may or may not be in service, accurate, or even real.
2. The "pro support" people are a joke. They act like they have a clue about owning a business when they all work for someone else. Lots of irony in that. No grace will be given from them or any other support staff in issuing credits for "leads" that have no opportunity to even connect with the potential "client". SO MAKE SURE YOU READ THEIR CONTRACT. YOU ARE PAYING FOR CONTACT INFORMATION ONLY. THEY DON'T CARE IF YOU EVEN ARE ABLE TO CONNECT WITH THE HOMEOWNER.
3. If you decide the service isn't for you by the way, the money you have spent into your lead budget is forfeited to them. This is classic marketing robbery. DO NOT USE THEM.
In summary, the overall experience is entirely a waste of time and money. Take the same money you would put into this and find a better marketing partner or hire a local college kid to knock some doors for you. If anyone reading this ever decides they would like to hop on a class action against Home Advisor/Angis please reach out to me. My company is Day 3 Outdoor Services and we officially become advocates against this fraudulent company for lfe. SPAM, THEIVES, CROOKS. RUN NOW!

Professional, trustworthy, and high-quality work from Luis and his team. Great value—highly recommended and I’ll be hiring them again.

Tried to leave a rotten review for Movers & Co in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, but the dumb Home Advisor site makes you verify with a number sent to your email, and doesn't let you go back to plug in the number!

Premier pool and spas of Georgetown Tx
My pool is leaking so muchI can’t use it.
It’s less than 4 yrs old and they are not committed to fixing it. They told me to sue them. WHAT! There are many other pools that they built like mine. Please beware.

We were sent fake leads that, when called, turned out to be their own numbers!! In our first month, five out of six leads were fake, and we couldn't contact any customers via phone, text, or email. Is this normal? Absolutely not! To make matters worse, they charged me 35% of the contract to cancel this fake business they offered. Unbelievable!

If you’re a contractor and you’re thinking about going through them think again for they screw you out of leads and if you have money left on your account at the end of the month instead of them rolling it over to the next month they will charge you for the next month and then they will keep the rest of your money. This happened to us we had $380 left on our lead account and they zeroed it out and then charge us again for the next month. They are crooks they will not work with you at all, and then they always say they will speak to someone higher up to rectify the situation, but they never rectify it. The leads they also give you are not good quality leads at all.

0 Star Review – Stay Away from HomeAdvisor / Angi
I never write reviews, but this company deserves every word. HomeAdvisor and Angi have been one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had as a contractor. The leads they send are garbage. Most of them are people who have no money, no real project, and no intention of hiring anyone. They just waste your time and your money.
Customer service is terrible. Once they get you to sign up, you are on your own. The salespeople are smooth talkers. They promise you the world when they want your credit card, but once you start seeing how bad their service is, they completely disappear. They just keep giving the same excuses over and over again for months on end.
When I tried to cancel, they told me I would have to pay a $1,200 cancellation fee. They don’t care that their system doesn’t work. They don’t care that the leads are fake or unverified. All they care about is taking your money.
There is no customer care, no honesty, no integrity. Just a company full of people trained to sell lies and lock contractors into useless contracts. I am disgusted by how they treat small business owners who work hard for their money.
If you are a contractor thinking about joining HomeAdvisor or Angi, do yourself a favor and stay far away. They will waste your time, your money, and your patience. I wish someone had warned me before I signed up. Consider this your warning.

They have the talent to make you deceptive offers and I told them that I didn't want to work with them because I investigated they didn't tell me the details precisely when I decided not to do any business with them because they activated my account they made 3 charges without my consent and I'm very upset because they are charging me a lot of money for a service they didn't provide me and I don't want it either I didn't give my consent for this I'm really shocked

I had a VERY disappointing experience with Evergreen Deck Builders. While I initially had high hopes based on their promises, the service fell short in several areas. The customer support was mostly unresponsive, leaving my concerns unresolved for days at a time. Additionally, the build quality and crew they sent out for the project did not match the description, which was frustrating given the price point. The crew that we had were rough frame builders, NOT qualified deck builders. They did not have proper equipment beyond building the main frame. The crew showed up in a minivan without a job trailer with all equipment needed as was described in their handout. They did not even have a power cord on the first day. I let them borrow my power cord and saw horses to cut framed pieces so they did not have to cut on the grass. They failed initial and final inspections. The inspection issues were resolved but not without conflict from management.
I believe there’s potential for improvement, and this mostly relies on management. But as of now, I CANNOT recommend this company. They may undercut other competitors pricing, but do your homework and definitely get other quotes before hiring Evergreen. I hope they take customer feedback seriously and work on addressing these issues.

The contractor did not turn up on the date agreed upon nor the following week. The credit card was not charged. The service was cancelled and yet after 5 months there is an attempt to charge the card. Kudos to Apple for blocking these suspicious transactions. No amount of calling up Homeadvisor to desist works. This website is a borderline scam.

Angi is a scam for small businesses. They dump useless “leads” – 70% don’t answer/don’t speak English, 30% have no idea what you offer.
Customer service? Always the same: “This is what you signed.” Try to cancel and they demand $2,000 while charges keep coming ( 35% from annual balance! On what ??? We are small businesses that want to grow )
I, with 60+ Florida business owners, am collecting evidence and recordings proving they break terms. From day one they said “fight for the lead,” but even when you prove it’s unrelated, you get no response, no credit, no refund.

Sierra Vista Roofing LLC - Earlier this year, I decided to update my tile roof. During the quote process, I interviewed six contractors, narrowing it down to two finalists. It was a close decision, but I ultimately chose Sierra Vista Roofing LLC. They offered the product I wanted — Westlake Tile Seal — and provided the best labor and material warranty among all six contractors.
As part of my due diligence, I requested a certificate of insurance (which I highly recommend doing) and three references. All three spoke very highly of the company, praising their commitment to service, follow-up, and overall workmanship.
I worked primarily with Jorge and Billy from Sierra Vista. They were excellent — answering all my questions, promptly following up, and walking me through my options while clearly explaining the differences and the installation process.
Everything happened exactly as they outlined. I was especially impressed by their construction crew’s professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine concern for my satisfaction. Jorge personally stopped by each day to check on progress. There were no surprises, and they proactively corrected minor issues I might have missed.
At the project's conclusion, both Billy and Jorge visited my home, took photos and drone footage of the finished roof, and reviewed every aspect of the completed work with me.
Having spent over 50 years in the insurance industry — retiring as a Vice President for companies specializing in contractor insurance — I’ve seen the full spectrum of contractors, both good and bad. In my experience, Sierra Vista Roofing is among the best, if not the best, I’ve encountered in five decades.
They’re good people who know their business and are committed to delivering top-quality service that meets or exceeds expectations. That’s a rare combination in any contractor, especially in roofing.

Every phone call sounds like the agent is under water due to their phone technology. You are passed from one agent to another for simple issues. Think twice before dealing with a business that is fragmented and disorganized for the customer.

Rigo and his son from always great landscaping are AMAZING!!!! They are personable and professional. They always do a fantastic job on my lawn. They also did a great job at repairing my privacy fence. I am not usually one to rave about services because I am a very visual person and notice small details. They are definitely impressive. I highly recommend them!
