I like the concept of recycling, that is why I buy clothes in Sellpy. But the pictures are usually not really good, what makes it difficult to see what is the current quality of the clothes, and the... See more

I bought a bag and it actually went beyond my expectation. So I now know I can trust the product and quality description written about a product
The workers steal things for themselves and mark them as "bad quality" even though it's expensive shoes and jackets that have never been worn. I've sold over 100 items at this point and have gotten around 100 kr in total. It's not worth it.
Very low payouts, if any at all. Would definitely not recommand
Sustainable fashion made easy. Loved every step of the purchasing process. Might try as a seller next!
Rejected clothes that were perfectly fine and then asked to pay €5 each to send them back. They charge you a lot for each item put up, you basically end up with nothing might as well just donate at this point.
I have a love hate relationship with Sellpy.
Plus:
- Easy to use, just order bags, fill and they get picked up at my doorstep.
- Everything gets done for you, so you can just chill.
- I love that you can return things if you don’t like it in person/ don’t fit.
- Great place to find expensive brands for cheap.
- IF you are successful in getting sales, it’s a pretty easy way to revamp your closet since you can use credits for sales.
- I like that you get a % back if you choose to take your earnings in Sellpy credit.
Cons:
- Expensive! So incredibly expensive. First you pay for the bags. Then you have to pay for the listings (which IS NOT clearly stated ANYWHERE). Once your items are listed, they ONCE AGAIN take a % of the actual sale.
- Your expensive items get sold for NOTHING. I’ve sent in expensive brands that I’ve barely worn, with a retail price of up to 3000kr and they either don’t get sold at all, or get sold for something ridiculous like 100kr and then I get a 31kr sale from it after Sellpy’s cut.
- They immediately donate anything they deem unwearable. That includes expensive, purposely distressed items. They donated a few of my clothes last time because they were “too snagged” and whatnot, where in reality, if they’d done ANY research, they’d know the items were distressed on purpose.
- Too many items, not enough buyers, your items will most likely not get sold and you’ll end up basically owing them money instead.
- Long processing times, both for sending in items and ordering.
- No proper authentication or verification process for brands. Seen many counterfeit brands being sold as legit, so be careful. Luckily they DO post the pictures of the tags, so you kinda have to make sure you know what legit looks like before you order, cause they’ll set the same price for a AliExpress fake and the real thing.
- It takes forever to make a profit because of all the expenses.
Never seen such a ripp off system . First of all you have to buy a bag… ok for that but than half of your clothes is not good enough for them although nothing was worn out! They ask money for publishing your items and deduct that from the end result they will pay you. Final result was that from the huge pile i sent them i got 1 euro and 60 cent . Half was “donated” and from all they sold i got nothing !
Totally waste of time and clothes! The only thing i hope is that my donated stuff is getting to the right people and they can enjoy it !
Sellpy NEVER AGAIN !!
I used Sellpy to sell clothes, and the process is very convenient since you simply put the items you want to sell into Sellpy’s prepaid bag. However, the payout is very low due to the many fees involved. Sellpy charges 12 SEK per listed item and then takes 60% of the price of each sold item. In the end, there’s hardly any profit left. I would instead recommend platforms like Vinted. It requires a bit more effort, but you earn more in return.
Incredibly scammy on the seller side.
They take a big share of the sell (fine, they handle all the logistics) but then take a 12sek fee for "annonskostnad" out of the sellers share. So the seller of the item ends up with almost nothing.
To recap:
- They charge for the bag
- They take most of what the items sells for
- They charge if an item doesn't sell and the seller wants it back
- They charge if they deem an item not suitable for selling, and the seller wants it back
- They charge 12SEK for each item, on top of everything
Excellent selection, great customer service, one of my favourite stores.
I have now bought and sold a lot on Sellpy. There are some problems but if you know what to expect, you can find amazing items at great prices and sell your own amazing unused items for a fair return. In terms of buying, remember that the sizing is a crap shoot. There are garments from many countries with different sizing numbers. Especially with smaller brands, Sellpy doesn't know if the size on the label is German, Italian, or American. Use your eye. The pictures often don't give an accurate impression of the fabric. It is best to take a close look picture of the inside label. This is a close up and gives the best impression of fabric's actual look and feel. Every time I have told Sellpy that a garment was described inaccurately, they have sent me a free return label. So, annoying, but I can't really complain. In terms of selling, stick to well known brands in good shape. Forget jeans, even if they are unused. Remember to check the photos and descriptions of your items. You can adjust the price or ask for an items to be rephotographed. I have done this many times and Sellpy has always complied. You often get great returns for higher priced designer items and you don't have to deal with crazy customers and shipping. We have been doing a major declutter here and Sellpy has been a huge help. I would never have had the time or the nerves to sell all those items myself. I have bought amazing items for the whole family on Sellpy and continue to use their site!

Good range of clothes, needed more measures. Good pricing.

Very quick delivery, a lot of options.
The issues is with knowing if something will fit, since same "size" in different brands mean different actual cm. Would be much better to have the metrics
I am always satisfied with the items I receive, and I always receive them within the projected delivery window so I can rely on the estimated delivery dates
