Happy customer for many years…

I’ve been a happy customer for many years. The quality is excellent (worth the slightly higher price), and the Explorer range is perfect for crease-free travel. Customer service is always great – special thanks to Gemma K today for her friendly and efficient help!

Put off purchase by returns policy

I've bought from modibodi in the past, but not for a few years. I'd like to buy a pair of swim shorts from them, but they are £60 and there is no way to return them if they don't fit, and as others have mentioned, sizing can be variable. I don't understand why they can't use a hygiene seal like other swimwear suppliers. Unfortunately, it's not possible to discuss this with a human as their contact form is replied to by an AI agent, and it does not seem possible to contact a human. I haven't purchased as it is too high risk. Two stars in reference to the fact previous products have been good, but really this is a 1 star for today's experience.

Initially prompt but problem not yet resolved

Guardsman promptly sent out a cleaning wipe to try on my stain, and then sent out somebody to try to remove the stain in person when the wipe did not work. This was not successful either. The service was good until that point, but now I haven't heard from them for almost a month

OK, would probably shop elsewhere next time

I ordered a Medinilla plant that was listed as in stock. Ordered on the 1st of the month and did not arrive until the 19th which was just over the maximum expected delivery wait of 14 working days. The plant was about the size I expected. One of the three flower heads had fallen off in transit and the remaining two are brown and dried out in the middle (they should be pink). The plant arrived with very dry soil and is not as healthy as I would have liked it to be.

Good prices but just painful to deal with

I have used Boots Kitchen Appliances a few times now because they have a good selection at reasonable prices, with the added bonus of getting Boots points on your purchase.

Each time I have ordered I have had to send follow up emails asking for the Boots points to be added to my card, despite entering my card number in the box clearly marked “advantage card number”.

With my latest purchase I followed this problem up via the contact page on the website and received no response, so I have just had to email them again to chase this up.

The aftersales calls to confirm delivery details (already given at checkout) seem to be an excuse to push additional cover and insurance. I have found this to be done in an underhand way in the first instance, and then in a pushy way the second time.

Good service, excellent plants, terrifying packaging

Crocus send usually send excellent quality plants and I order from them frequently. They have the best range I have found anywhere. Customer service is excellent and they have dealt with any problems quickly and effectively.

One star deducted for their packaging. Plants are very heavily taped together and onto sturdy cardboard containers and it's a major workout to get them out, particularly if you have a bad back. I imagine someone much older than me would really struggle.
