Wrong bouquet (and message) delivered
Last week I ordered a bouquet to be sent to my son and his girlfriend as they have recently been going through a very hard time and I wanted to give them a nice surprise. On the arranged delivery date I received a message from my son, telling me that they had received some flowers with a message for somebody else, and had I arranged a delivery of flowers? He also sent me a couple of photos, and I could see straight away that these were not the ones I had ordered. To add insult to injury, it was a smaller and cheaper bouquet, and of course the glass vase that I had paid extra for hadn't been included. I explained that I had indeed arranged for some flowers to be delivered, but told him that clearly the order had been mixed up with someone else's. My son naturally made light of it and thanked me very much for the thought, but I was furious. What an incredibly careless thing to do!! As far as I was concerned, the surprise had been ruined :(
I contacted Clare Florist immediately (via email, as calling doesn't appear to be an option) and told them in no uncertain terms that I was extremely unhappy. To be fair, I did receive an apology the following day, and was assured that my original order would be sent the very next day, which it was.
I can see from other reviews that this is not an isolated occurrence. Clearly this company needs to take a good look at itself.
