Loyal Customer - Disappointing Experience
We've been using Jet2 since they were established and experience has generally been good, on this occasion our experience was poor and questioning whether we will use Jet2 in the future and look to cancel our two current bookings. Our recent experience wasn't great for a number of reasons:
1. We purchased a FastPass as advertised by Jet2 and after checking in our luggage was advised where to go (upto the nearest escalator), after queuing for 30 mins with no Jet2 rep present and not possible to go back down the stairs as they were barriered off - we found out that the FastPast could not be used via the route we'd been sent. This should be made clear when checking in our bags.
2. Jet2 appear to now operate out of Terminal 2 only from Birmingham airport. Which was chaotic with no space to queue to get on the flight, or to sit. People queuing where they thought they should which blocked access to Terminal 1, walkways and coffee shops. Being restricted on mobility this made things difficult.
3. 3-4 weeks before our return flight our seats got moved further back - we had specifically booked a seat near to the front due to mobility and was disappointed to find these had changed and this appeared to be due to a large family group sitting together. So not happy after booking well in advance and paying for the privilege that our seats had been changed.
4. On the return flight we were held on the plane for 20-30 minutes as there were no buses available which wasn't notified to passengers until there had been some wait - which was not helpful as was a very hot day.
5. Once on the buses following our return flight, got to the terminal, as the Jet2 representative was there the doors couldn't be opened from the inside leaving passengers stranded for a further 20 mins with no aircon in close to 30 degrees whilst we waited for the rep to arrive.
One or two issues may have been acceptable but there were too many things on this occassion, have put us off using Jet2 in the future and will look to use another airline, which is a shame as our experience of Jet2 staff has always been positive.
