Welcome to the vortex! It's filled with many random and fandom things. (Disclaimer: While mostly tame, mature content may show up at times and will be tagged accordingly. Enjoy!)
There’s a scene in very early 60’s Doctor Who where a character falls into a swamp, I think, and they throw not a rag doll, but a card board cut out of the actor. 10/10 they don’t make ‘em like this no more
so like is anyone else seeing what’s happening on the dilbert website right now
I feel as though I will regret asking but, what absolute nonsense was he on about here?
Scott had prostate cancer, probably for a few years since by the time he publicly announced having it (May 2025) there were signs of the cancer spread to his hip and lower vertebrae. Rather than treating it immediately with surgery, drugs, or traditional cancer therapy; he took ivermectin and other de-worming medication. He was begging RFK jr and the P(os)otus to grant him access to an “experimental” cancer treatment in November. After being paralyzed and starting radiation therapy because the cancer had spread into his spine.
The man’s life is a prime example of how modern conservatism will rot your brain. Prostate cancer is one of the most survivable cancers in adults (especially men over the age of 60), and he died painfully over the course of years because he believed in grifters over doctors.
Yup. Keep in mind this is the same cancer Joe Biden (20 years his senior) has and is managing very well with, going out to hang with his grandkids and eating ice cream and chilling on the beach. Because Joe Biden is doing what his doctors say.
Scott meanwhile did a ton of quack treatments until it was too late for conventional medicine to do jack shit (iirc he got access to that experimental treatment, didn’t help) and now thinks he was denied something when HE did the denying.
It should be noted cancer specifically has a LOT of grifters out there partly based on the fact that the treatment for cancer often does make you feel like shit. They spin that as “doctors wanting to keep you sick” or “doctors using fake cures that don’t work” to push their own fake cures on you. Or just push you to donate to their church and pray the cancer away, whichever. And the rise of RFK’s “MAHA” movement has empowered a LOT of said grifters.
how they initially sing Daisy Bell just to mock Zooble only to progressively pay more attention to each other to where by the end they fully focus on having fun with each other is AHDHSHAUXDDCCISHBDBXJ
saw this video of a production of the nutcracker that has tony hawk skateboarding in it today. btw.
likely place for tony hawk to be
“Sometimes you just have to say yes to things way outside your comfort zone, especially when your daughter thinks it’s funny,” Hawk wrote on Instagram.
video description: a small bird stood on wooden flooring, singing the iconic high staccato bit from the queen of the night aria. he doesn’t perfectly hit all the notes but still does a pretty good job. there is a human hand shaking a container full of cotton buds next to the bird for some reason.
Is this rabbit playing? No, but nothing bad is going on.
This bunny is showing familial behavior by digging a burrow in connection to yours :)
In case anyone is curious/wants some closure, since yes that is NOT a wild rabbit (you an tell by the coat, wild rabbits are like. brown)
I checked the comments on the source, OP said it belonged to a neighbour who released it when they decided they didn’t want it. OP adopted it after it was attacked by a cat.
Also the rabbit’s name is Josie. (and going by a comment the OP made, it sounds like she has other rabbits as well, so Josie won’t be alone either).
So a happy ending. The bunny is no longer a stray.
Well. There’s a colony of multicoloured and variable sized rabbits (or was for at least 20 years before I left there, anyway) on Mitcham Common which seems to have resulted from a small group of escaped pets who, well, did what rabbits do.
There were A Lot of them, and most would have been born there and never known captivity, so… Are those wild rather than stray or is there an Official Definition which says they’re not?
you may also notice that the babies have tiny little nubbin beaks! they hatch like that so they fit in the eggs- the beak doesn’t actually grow in for another week or so.
