What a huge talent Laura Cannell is... A fearless experimentalist and improviser with both spirit and sensitivity. The Church setting is perfect and obviously inspirational for her,making the pieces sound ethereal and intangible...there but not there,if you will. Her influences may be medieval but her approach is very firmly contemporary and her playing is strong and (com)passionate. Very highly recommended without reservation.
