Their service dep could not help me technically unless i downloaded their app on my telly which I could not do. I was responding to a request /recommendation to update, after which I was unable to watch TV2 Sport. I will now stop this app, and Allente will lose payment of NOK 5.508 /yesr.

I asked for technical help with adjusting satellite dish setup after rainstorm messed up. They only want me to change over to use my fiber Internet and their newest box. Where I am locked out of my recordings if they are over 1 year old. I was never told about that HUGE change against how things been before. That is a large limitations, it makes me angry.
And the way my phonecall today with customer service went, where they suddenly disconnected me, I am not at all happy with this company right now.

Let’s just say my experience with Allente Norge which ended a year ago has been… a character-building journey.
Somehow, I found myself locked into a TV subscription I never knowingly agreed to,and when I reached out for help, I was met with a firm “too late, your 15-day trial period has expired--you now have a 6-month binding period.” Never mind the fact that I’d sent multiple emails and made several calls before I was left waiting for a couple of days to figure out on their end a possible contract cancellation.
Things only started moving when I brought in the big guns – a consultation with the Norwegian Consumer Authority. Suddenly, Allente's previously dismissive tone took a turn towards what I’d call only 'superficially accommodating'. When I asked for the recorded sales call, audio proof evidencing that the sales representative had thoroughly informed me about the new TV subscription and received a verbal confirmation from me to proceed (as advised by the CA), I was miraculously and promptly redirected to their outsourced sales partner, HK Marked.
After some lengthy email ping-pong, HK Marked did eventually cancel the subscription by nullifying their initial order to Allente. But really, it shouldn’t take a government agency and a mini investigation to resolve a matter like this.
While Allente might argue they can’t control the tactics of their partners, I’d gently suggest they absolutely should. A bit of due diligence and better oversight would go a long way. As for their customer service throughout? Let’s just say it wasn’t exactly a masterclass in empathy or efficiency.
I am writing this in hopes they see it as a learning opportunity for them and a word of caution for their potential customers.
