TomB Traders Lab//Bookmap
I’ve been studying and trading futures using an Auction Market Theory framework, and Tom B’s TradersLab inside Bookmap completely changed how I see the market.
What separates this from typical “trading education” is the structure and process. It’s not about indicators, patterns, or hype trades. Tom focuses on market context first — balance vs. imbalance, opening type, inventory, and location. Execution comes after structure, and that alone eliminated a ton of random trades from my playbook.
The way he teaches order flow within Bookmap is extremely practical. You’re not just staring at heatmap colors — you learn what liquidity actually means, how to interpret absorption vs. continuation, and when to do nothing. That discipline piece has probably been the biggest improvement in my trading.
Another thing I appreciate is the emphasis on process over P&L. It’s about building repeatable behavior, not chasing green days. That mindset shift has helped me more than any strategy ever did.
If you’re looking for get-rich-quick signals, this isn’t it. If you want to understand auction theory, trade location properly, and use Bookmap the right way — this is absolutely worth it.
Highly recommend for traders who are serious about long-term consistency.

Subscribe to BookMap and Get in Trader Lab Discord
I subscribed to BookMap 3 months ago after years of disappointing results with some other data feeds/providers. Shortly after entering the BookMap Discord channel, I was introduced to Trader Lab hosted by Tom B. Tom is incredibly proficient at teaching people how to profitably apply the BookMap data feed in contextual alignment with market price action on a daily basis. I've been trading seriously for 10 years and full time for 8 years. Trader Lab is the first time I've encountered someone like Tom B who succinctly conveys the realities of trading profitably/sustainably in the random distribution of the market environment. The best counsel I can offer any serious trader is to get in Trader Lab and learn how to apply BookMap to your trading. You owe it to yourself and your family.
Don’t subscribe to Bookmap.
Give me a useful method and a clear explanation on how to profit from Bookmap, and I will give you 3000$
I’m subscribed to more than four trading platforms, including Bookmap, and honestly, it’s the most disappointing one. It creates a false sense of support and resistance — you suddenly see a resistance wall that looks impossible to break, and then it vanishes without warning.
In one of these situations, I entered a put trade and lost $3,200. I then decided to subscribe to the MBO or Iceberg package, but it turned out to be nothing more than hype and a waste of money.
My advice to traders: focus on real-time gamma platforms — they are significantly more effective and reliable than Bookmap.
There are no useful educational materials, and no new educational content. Most of the tutorials focus on settings, colors, and how to change them, rather than on how to trade or how to enter and exit positions. So what’s the benefit of explaining colors?
I hope the Bookmap team works on improving the platform.
Excellent (and stable) trading platform…
Excellent (and stable) trading platform with very deep training resources. Their support is also very responsive and thorough. Very happy customer.
After 3 years I'm still impressed
Bookmap is the kind of innovation needed in trading apps. I've used it for 3 years. Never had an issue. Incredibly impressive, fast, real-time timeline of the order book.
Absolutely useless
Waste of money, why?
1) Bookmap has heatmaps, most people think a heatmap is like a buy or sell wall so like support and resistance but the biggest issue is that most orders are spoofed so those heatmaps can be removed instantly therefore you can't trust those results. There is no historical heatmap level which means just because there was a heatmap at a level a week or month ago, that doesn't mean it will hold.
2)Aggregated data is not correct from exchanges, I compared the data coming from bookmap with other platforms and bookmap was lagging.
3) Their app is very resource intensive, so app uses too much RAM and CPU.
4) Chart looks terrible, good luck finding a bias out of those big green, red bubbles are all over the place.
As a result, a simple footprint chart is much cleaner than bookmap, plus a footprint chart shows already processed market orders no limit orders which means you can trust a footprint chart more. And a footprint chart shows a very accurate data on each horizontal level with exact market buy/sell orders unlike those huge bubbles all over the place.

I recently joined Trader Lab with Tom B, and my experience so far has been nothing short of exceptional. Tom B’s daily streams are absolutely priceless - incredibly insightful, consistent, and genuinely helpful for traders at all levels. Thank you, Tom, for putting so much effort into these!
The Discord community has also been extremely welcoming and supportive, especially for newbies like myself. It’s rare to find a group that is both knowledgeable and encouraging.
I highly recommend becoming part of this community. It’s been one of the best decisions I’ve made on my trading journey.

I joined/bacame an active participant in Trader Lab less than 3 months ago (10/2025). The knowledge that I have gained in this short span exceeds everything that I've learned in my 2 years of trading.
Tom B's persona does take some getting used to, but as time goes by you appreciate his tough & honest approach when learning this new skill.
Because of Tom B and Trader Lab
1. I no longer take UNVETTED trades
2. I no longer have butterflies or feel anxious
when I'm in a trade
3. I now understand that CONTEXT is the
CONDITION of the MARKET
4. DEVELOPING TRADERS never stop learning.
Thanks Tom B (and all his Tabbies)
