Excellent customer service from this…

Excellent customer service from this Company. I broke 1 of the glass spheres while installing the 3 pendant lamp. Went onto their website chat and was sorted straight away with a replacement part. It was really cheap to buy the part and it was in my hand 2 days later. Well impressed. So happy that I purchased from this Company.

Ceiling lamps buzzing constantly, even after replacement

Bought a ceiling lamp, sadly all the good looking, modern ones' lighting is adjustable. Thus they have shitty, cheap microcontrollers in them and they are buzzing all the time due to faulty assembly. I thought it was just one faulty device, so I requested a replacement. Which behaves the same way. Why can't they just produce nice looking, but standard ceiling lamps which are so simple that they can't be faulty?

Eglo advertised on Homebase UK site…

Eglo advertised on Homebase UK site with the eglo sirrecella outdoor lights, shown as in stock and delivery on the 6th September, I ordered and paid, waited a week, no confirmation of product being sent, chased Homebase, then after 24 hours they respond to tell me the supplier had none in stock, no email, text or advice, I had arranged an electrician for 2 weeks after order to fit them, as to give plenty of time. I’m not in a position to just go and buy them elsewhere and I now have to wait for the refund 5-7 working days back into my account, absolutely shocking customer service.
This will be at greater cost to me as I now have to source the lights elsewhere and get urgent delivery, if you know how hard it is to nail down an electrician, you’ll understand why I can’t put them off, as they are also going to fit other electrics for me for my new garden.
I think this should have been highlighted before taking my money.
No consequences for their shabby ordering system but huge consequences for me now !!

Surprisingly Great Service

Two years ago I moved house. Subsequently I invested and changed all the lamps in the house to LED lamps, including four power hungry spotlights in my kitchen, which I replaced with 6W EGLO LED reflector lamps. Of course I didn’t keep any receipts, nor could I remember where I bought them. I was really pleased with the look, performance and energy savings they gave. However, two years later, one of the EGLO lamps failed; it would suddenly go to half brightness and then go off completely. I was pleasantly surprised that in my man drawer I had kept a spare Eglo lamp in its original packaging clearly showing a 5 year warranty.
I contacted EGLO Customer services by email (which incidentally is located in Northampton UK). I told them all of the above. The only proof of purchase I could give them was a photograph of a lamp in its packaging. I must say that given some of the negative reviews that I read here; that I wasn’t very hopeful of hearing from them. However, within a day or two I heard back from the Customer Service Manager Jaimie asking for the product number, which I gave, and he promised me a replacement lamp. Unfortunately this was during several postal strikes, and nothing arrived. I left it a while before chasing it up. When I did, Customer Service Administrator Shaun took up my case and sent me not one, but four lamps as an apology for the delay. Great customer service…Thank you Jaimie and Shaun. If it hadn’t been for the postal strike I would have given five stars.

Expensive crap - they ignore their guarantee

Bought app. 40 lamps 1½ year ago.
I have changed all of them several times - 5 years guaratee, they say, but the average lifetime has been a few months. I have at a lot of dialogue with EGLO, but they won't help me. They send me back to the reseller.
My suggestion is to stay away and find other products. If there are problems - they wont help you.

Every order delivered broken

Every order has been delivered broken. Eglo uses the cheapest delivery service who mishandled my lights. Furthermore, Eglo packaged the fragile light fixtures in very weak boxes and little protective packaging. The worst is Eglo's lack of customer's respect in which I have to send back items and dispatch to another unprofessional courier far from my home.

Eglo Netherlands

Eglo Netherlands. I was interested in a lamp from their website. However it was stated that the lamp could not be bought directly through this website. Therefore I contacted their showroom by mail. They advised me to address one of their official dealers and buy the lamp from them. This was done. The dealer ordered the lamp. I paid and then everything went wrong. Eglo has the lamp in stock but refused to deliver. It seems that simply due to the fact that I am Dutch and the dealer is also Dutch a large number of their assortment is not available to us. That is a shame but why does their own customer service advises me to contact their official dealer is beyond me. Besides I feel discriminated because my nationality is not the one Eglo prefers to sell to.
