NO REPLIES - PATHETIC CUSTOMER SERVICE
Have ordered from the WEBSHOP some months ago, Multiple emails, Even spoke to a person on Chat to be told, ''Sorry, we dont help with online orders, you need to email the webshop''. Umm, yeah, done that.
To date, we are still to get a response from them.
Ended up buying from a different supplier, they send multiple emails at every stage of the order and delivery. WONT be using GLORIA JEANS ever again.
Don’t buy coffee beans on their website!
Have bought coffee beans on their website over many years. On 30 September, I ordered 8 and paid packs of beans. The order shows as posted in my account but there is no tracking. I have queried the whereabouts of my order numerous times but there is absolutely no response. I will wait another week then dispute the payment with my bank. Delays happen but the lack of communication is inexcusable.
Extremely Disappointing Mocha Experience at Gloria Jean’s, Bridgewater Mall
About two weeks ago, I went to this store and ordered a mocha coffee. I have to say, it tasted absolutely amazing — really great. Yesterday, I went back to the mall with my husband because I wanted him to try it as well, since I was so excited about it. But this time, I was really disappointed, and I honestly could not believe it.
First, we were served the drinks completely lukewarm, which was unacceptable. We returned them, asking for them to be a bit hotter. When we got them back, they were so hot that I actually burned the tip of my tongue. On top of that, the drinks were very watery. I don’t know if the two people working there added water — just plain hot water — but the creamy taste of the mocha that I had enjoyed a couple of weeks ago was completely gone.
Consistency is really important, and I have since read many other negative reviews, which I can now understand. The mocha medium costs $5, and I spent $9 on two drinks that were nothing like what I had before. I honestly don’t understand how this can happen. $5 for a coffee is already quite a lot, but I don’t mind paying that if it tastes amazing. Unfortunately, this experience proved to me that I will not be coming back and will definitely not be buying coffee there again.
You ruined it for me. I would have kept coming back regularly, but this kind of inconsistency will only hurt your business.
Generally friendly and helpful staff
Generally staf are friendly and helpful. Seat cushions are very dirty and spaces make it difficult to get in between tables against the wall. Decor very ordinary, a bit untidy and prices are high. Food no different to any other mass baked and prepared food. Coffee is nice and location very convenient.
It would not take too much to improve shop appearance.
Rude
Rude, condescending staff and management in my opinion. I will not be going back to the Traralgon victoria again for sure.
Insidious Concealment of Inhuman Sugar and Calorie Count in Fruit Beverages
I accompanied a family member to a Gloria Jean's stand directly beside a mall food court yesterday. I had not expected to order anything, as the prospects of finding a caffeine-free and low-sugar beverage did not appear sound after a brief glance at the menu. As the order was being placed, however, I noticed the selection of fruit drinks. I inquired about what the banana "chiller" contained and was told that it only had ice and a banana purée. I reasoned that the purée would not need any significant amount of added sugar, if any. It is unfortunate that I must share that, even for items that should be a healthy choice by any logical extension of the imagination, establishments like Gloria Jean's Coffees cannot be given the slightest degree of trust in regards to what they find suitable for their customers to consume.
Upon the first sip, I immediately marked the unnatural, almost syrup-like sweetness that the beverage had. At this moment I made yet another error; I reasoned that sugar had been added, but it would amount to 30 grams at most. Although this already hits the upper limit of one's daily added sugar intake value, I could not simply discard the beverage that my family member had been generous enough to pay for. Walking towards the mall exit and to our car, the beverage was nearly gone.
Some time in the car passed after I sipped the last of the liquid, and I began to receive a general feeling that routinely comes upon me after consuming a sugar-heavy dessert. I was already disconcerted at the fact that an intentional decision was made somewhere to inject a conspicuous quantity of sugar to a menu item of enough apparent simplicity and natural sweetness as a fruit smoothie (in this case called a "chiller" to differentiate it from what I later learned is an even more astronomical sugar and calorie count beverage served under the guise of a drink at Gloria Jean's). Partly out of curiosity and partly out of disgust, I decided to visit the Gloria Jean's Coffees website to see how much sugar I had just consumed.
I then learned that the Banana "chiller" beverage contains 99 grams of sugar in a regular size. The feeling one receives after being violated, duped, or used then came upon me most strongly. The length to which I have already gone to write this review might appear histrionic to some, but allow me to elucidate the absurdity of the aforementioned figure. 99 grams of sugar is more than three times the amount that a human should consume in one day according to the National Health Service. Although I do not suffer from any health condition that made my body unable to absorb this blow, one must ask himself why this would have to be processed in the first place. The human body is not designed to be intaking such quantities of this substance. And this is only one item one might consume throughout the day. Why is it that such inhuman amounts of sugar must be added to these beverages? There comes a point when an item is already so overwhelmingly sweet that the taste buds are desensitized-- that adding any more sugar only contributes to a higher calorie count. Beverages with figures as high as 160 grams or more from Gloria Jean's menu well exceed this threshold.
It was determined that I nevermore would patronize Gloria Jean's Coffees the moment I detected the copious amount of added sugar. The banana flavour itself was not remarkable, although the overbearing sweetness likely precluded my detection of any subtleties of taste. It was then determined that I would be as vocal as possible to all that I know to avoid Gloria Jean's Coffee for the sake of their own health. Corporations across the developed world-- and in America especially, where consumer protection standards such as those in Europe are evidently not as comprehensive-- continue to add sugar to items that truly do not need it, seemingly because a desire from consumers is perceived (other harmful substances such as food dyes are beyond the scope of this piece). The processes used to analyse consumer trends and come to the conclusion that 160 grams of sugar is appropriate in a beverage requires serious re-evaluation. There come times when those making decisions of this nature must ask themselves-- we are able to do this, but must we truly?

Hopefully it costs them dearly for going cashless! Yuk! Better support your local small business than these money hungry corporations.
Table service but there’s the sugar…
Table service but there’s the sugar over there!! Bit crazy just put the stuff on the saucer or ask do you want sugar!!!
Coffee ok though.
You can't sit wherever you want, the boss gets angry.
If you have a friend whom you know at the table, they don't allow you to sit at another table; they want you to use the same table. It's incredible why I have to use the same table just because we know each other. We come to spend some time outside with our coffee, but the treatment is very strange.
I will not be able to say something…
I will not be able to say something specific for every type of coffee they have since I have not tried them all, but I must say that they have good atmosphere in their stores around the world they are in the airports, they are in major cities, they are in many countries, usually they open up in good streets where there's a crowd, so a lot of turn out, concordantly, their coffee is fresh. It's a good brand that take coffee seriously. Nice.
Great services the places nice and clean

PAY YOUR NEWCASTLE STAFF…
Gloria Jeans uk franchise owners have not paid their Newcastle staff after the shop abruptly shut down, they owe multiple people thousands of pounds for the work they did and the owners have threatened them when they’ve asked to be paid, disgusting behaviour and I definitely will never spend a penny at any Gloria jeans. Not a good reflection on the company, especially during a cost of living crisis. Owners are yet to respond to any questions about the pay.
