MENY has become my menu!It’s just a wonderful store a lot of…

It’s just a wonderful store a lot of things are expensive BUT we can find then 50% cheaper sometimes so it’s a Win win offer. MENY has a fantastic selection of exquisite french cheese.
I would definitely recommend MENY.

Moldy appetizer for NYE

We ordered for new year’s eve the 4 course menu from MENY Kolding. The appetizer came moldy. This not only ruined the dining experience but also raised concerns about food safety of the other dishes in the menu. So this incident was particularly disappointing, especially for a special occasion like New Year’s Eve where we also had 2 friends over. And the price for the menu was not cheap. I wrote them an email about it but never heard anything back. I guess it was the first and last time we order from here.

Very disappointing

I ordered groceries from Meny using Wolt. Everything was ok except the 2 cucumbers I ordered. I took the cucumbers back to Meny and asked if I could have them replaced. Four customers service people came and one lady just flat out told me that it is not their problem to just call Wolt. While it was the person from Wolt that picked the bad cucumbers, those bad cucumbers should not have been on the shelf at Meny. I am or should I say was a frequent customer at Meny but after this incident I reconsidered my preferred grocery store. It was right down pitiful to watch those four customer service just blame Wolt and refuse to replace THEIR bad cucumber that should not have been for sale to begin with. I did contact Wolt and they did reimburse me for the bad products sold by Meny that they didn't want to take responsibility for.

They charge a fee for Non EU Debit/ Credit cards NOT GOOD FOR TOURISTS. Otherwise Meny Søborg is a good place to shop . Friendly staff.
Disapointed about DEBIT CARD FEE THOUGH.

According to Danish legislation, a fee may be charged when paying with company cards and payment cards issued outside the EU.

Our stores are run by independent merchants, so it is up to the individual store whether they charge a fee or not.

Rude and unfriendly service, when you are getting in touch with employees... Of course not all there, but the shop need a professional store manager to be aware of what is going on when it comes to the service...
Otherwise Meny is my favorite store all over :-)

Hard hit in the head of my baby

I was entering the shop in Vermlandsgade with my daughter hand by hand walking and the main door, the glass with a sensor didn’t detect her and closed when she was passing and hit her hard in the forehead.
The manager didn’t say much
It was very hard as the glass is very thick
You need to fix that ASAP

I have been in contact with the grocer, who states that they have checked the entrance and it is running okay.

The reason may be that you have a small child, and the photocell has not been able to capture her.

They will get it checked so the episode does not happen again, but it may take a few days.

The grocer is sorry that no care has been given to your daughter in the situation. He will talk with his staff, so that it will be better in the future.

Took 3 attempts to pick up a simple package because we had photo ID, but the “wrong kind”.

Next time they rejected me because the paper slip wasn’t signed.

Never had these issues at any other package shop, always hate picking it up from Meny

I have been in contact with the grocer in MENY Tårnby, who assures that all rules from Post Nord are complied with, which is why they cannot hand out packages without valid identification.

The rules are not made to annoy the customer, but to protect consumers as best as possible from fraud.

Greedy

As quite. "Savvy" grocery shopper, it's quite easy to see, that Meny's pricing structure, is roughly 20% MORE EXPENSIVE, than all other Supermarkets in Denmark.
Personally, I would rather take the time to visit 3 other stores, and save 200kr on my shopping, for EXACTLY the same products.
As a consumer, I fail to see, why their required markup is so high(up to 40 %) on most of their products, rules them out of this very competitive market indeed.
As far as their marketing strategy of buying "quality" is concerned, there is NO difference in a packet of Kelloggs cornflakes in Meny, than their is, in Netto.
Not the sort of shopping experience I would like to have again.

MENY has the widest and deepest food assortment in Denmark – making it possible for you as a consumer only to shop in one place, no matter your need in the kitchen. In MENY we also prioritize competent and highly skilled personnel, available all over the store at all times – this is a crucial part of the shopping experience we offer – and not something you will be able to find anywhere else in a traditional supermarket og discounter in Denmark. Our offer includes a real butcher, a wine sommelier in the wine department, highly skilled food personnel in the delicatessen department – and an assortment of specialty shop in shops that among other things includes high-end bakeries, florists, sushi, and apothecaries.

It is your choice where you choose to shop – but you are welcome at any time in any of our stores.

I was at Meny in Frederikshavn (HC…

I was at Meny in Frederikshavn (HC Ørstedvej) a couple of days ago with my husband and had the most unpleasant experience. We both use to speak in Spanish together and were talking groceries waiting our turn in the queue by the cashier. When our turn comes up, we put everything on the treadmill except the 8 eggplants in our bag that I show to the cashier and say : og så har vi de 8 auberginer her. The cashier said we hav to take them out of the bag and put them on the treadmill (the whole conversation is in Danish, in which I am fluent). They have no code, of course, so why should you put them on the treadmill if you are not going to scan them? So I say this doesn’t make any sense as she can perfectly see and count them in the bag. She insist so I put the eggplants one by one on the treadmill, she takes them in bare hands (wonderful in pandemic times) and stops answering when I ask why she is asking me to do that. The way she looked at me and my husband was SO xenophobic I am never going to put a single foot in this shop ever again. I paid and left.
I strongly suggest Meny improves the selection process, or at least the formation of their employees to treating foreigners in a decent way, when the shop is located in such a touristic area. This is incredibly bad service, and seriously questionable values. NEVER AGAIN.

Today we spoke with the grocer in MENY Frederikshavn. He apologizes that you have experienced a xenophobic treatment, this is certainly not the intention.

He states that the store's policy is that ALL items MUST be placed on the belt.
It is unfortunate that this means, that you do not want to shop in his store.

Concerning the customer service in the store, he talks to the employees on an ongoing basis.

I had an unpleasant experience with one…

I had an unpleasant experience with one of the workers at Meny Nordhavn when i asked him where can i find the champagne glasses and his answer was “ is sold out”. He was just a few meters away from where the products were, but he didn’t even bother himself to show me where to look for.He could also guide me towards other worker or just say “i don’t know”. Anything is better than lying. There were enough champagne glasses on shelves. Rude and disappointing

Won’t be using the Risskov Meny as the…

Won’t be using the Risskov Meny as the last member of staff I interacted with was Racist.
After presenting my id to the member of staff, I was told I do not look like a Tim! I can only conclude that the Tim’s he meets are not black.

Rude staff, unhelpful and disorganized. uses intimidation tactics and treats you like crap. They have no time to help you and ask you to come back when it suits them. Took an hour to collect my package and i had to yell, they did have It they were just to incompetent to find it. Choose another post station if you can. Just collected another package fr.o.m. Cirkle k there. Took them 1 minute and they smiled.
