I ordered a Briston shower wall mixer bar and riser kit online from Plumbing 4 Less at a good price and paid immediately.
I got an automated e-mail confirming my order. Then I got another e-mail from a member of staff stating that Briston don't make electric showers any more and my order was cancelled. Then I got another e-mail from the same person saying sorry I made a mistake as the item you ordered in not electric, but the item you want is out of stock.
I wrote back asking how long it would be for delivery and he replied that it would be 2-3 days direct from the manufacturer but that they had just increased the price and added a delivery charge. I asked how much it had increased by and I received another e-mail with an invoice for a sum £32 more than that stated on the website and more than I had already paid.
I looked online at other companies prices for the same item and found one that was selling the item for £9.00 less than I had already paid Plumbing For Less so I asked for a refund as they couldn't honour the original advertised price. They refunded my money within a couple of hours.
I purchased the item from the cheaper company as I felt that Plumbing for Less were either trying to get customers by falsly advertising low prices or at best not keeping their online pricing up to date.
Maybe the prices had increased by the manufacturer but the price I paid at the other store was £43 less and that was also delivered direct from the manufacturer in 2 days.
I won't be looking to buy anything here again.

Grate value for money with fast delivery

Be careful - They will not accept returns after 14 days (even if unopened). This is no use at all if your plumber is delayed (in this case over Christmas) and you don’t start work and spot that the parts are incorrect in time. Yes I know its in the small print but in future I’ll keep to suppliers who I know are generally reasonable.
