The trainer gave me advice that I hadn’t heard before, not even from my vet! I’m excited to put it into practice to see how it helps

  1. Dog Trainer

Written by the company

TrainPetDog is an online dog training program providing free and paid courses for all dog breeds. Based on positive reinforcement training strategies, we specialise in training dogs based on the natural instincts of the breed. Having started in 2005, TrainPetDog is the only online course that has breed-specific training courses for different dog breeds. Since then, we have helped millions of dog owners, worldwide, with potty training, obedience training, stopping bad behaviours and developing a loving bond with their furry companion. Our training course has been so successful because it works on the natural instinct of the dog breed. And yes, our training techniques also work equally well on mixed breed dogs since mixed breed dogs inherit the core characteristics from the original breed. Another important feature of the TrainPetDog dog training program, that sets us apart from all online dog training courses, is the option to get one-on-one help from experienced dog trainers. As a member, you can schedule a phone call with a trainer as per your convenience. Our trainer will call the phone number at the scheduled time to understand your challenges and offer you solutions based on your dog's specific problem and your specific situation. Visit us for more information and join us today to understand your dog's needs and lovingly transform him into a sweet angel soon.

Starting anew with puppy.

Growing up with larger dogs, I now have a new puppy of a calming nature, which is what I need. Yet being a mixed Teddy Bear (Shih zhu/Bischon) she was overwhelming. TrainPet is a Godsend to me.

Helpful info/plan for a pup that plays too rough

The advice and and plan I received from Thomas at TrainPetDog has been very helpful. My most recent call was about a pup that plays too rough with our other dogs. We're still working on it with our dog, but there is definitely improvement!! I've scheduled many other times for help, and they are always super helpful.

Disappointed …

After trying the suggested training exercises over and over I’ve had little to no success with training my German Shepherd. We went to three of the five dog training schools in our area and each one told us they don’t accept any dog in their program until the dog is six months old. Each one said it is at that time the dog has most of its puppy attitude out of its system. I haven’t found your method successful and wish I had never purchased it. It was a waste of money. We now have a reservation made at a local training center for Maxine when she becomes 6 months old.

"When we first brought our 13-week-old…

"When we first brought our 13-week-old puppy, Jax, home, he was a bundle of chaotic energy and had no manners. The beginner puppy class was a lifesaver. Our trainer, [Trainer's Name], was incredibly patient and made every lesson fun for both us and our puppy. She taught us how to effectively use positive reinforcement, and after a few sessions, Jax was already responding to 'sit' and 'stay.' The biggest change was learning how to properly handle distractions, and he's now much calmer when we're out on walks. We feel so much more confident as first-time dog owners, and Jax absolutely adores his trainer!"
Review for a behavior modification program (e.g., leash reactivity)
"We came to [Company Name] for help with our rescue dog, Sadie, who had severe leash reactivity. Walks were stressful and unpredictable, and we were at our wit's end. Our trainer, [Trainer's Name], was a true professional who used evidence-based, force-free methods. Instead of just trying to control the behavior, she helped us understand the root cause of Sadie's anxiety. Over a few months, we saw an amazing transformation. Sadie can now focus on us and pass other dogs without barking or lunging. We've gone from avoiding walks to enjoying them, and it's all thanks to the strategies taught us. She truly changed our lives!"
Review for a board-and-train service
"After struggling with our high-energy shepherd mix for over a year, we decided to try [TRAINPETDOG] board-and-train program. The difference in our dog is remarkable. She is so much calmer and happier. She walks beautifully on a leash, her recall is excellent, and she's no longer jumping on guests. We were so impressed with the personalized care and regular updates we received while she was with them. They gave us the tools to maintain the training at home, and it has taken so much pressure off us in the home. We would highly recommend them to anyone who needs a more intensive training solution."
"We could not . She is extremely knowl

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. My main dissatisfaction with this company is that when I ordered their digital program, and the paper version, one of the "bonuses" I got was a free 30-day trial in the Elite Dog Club. This appeared on an email receipt for my $67 purchase. I saw the email with the purchase confirmation and did not read all the subsequent verbiage about how if I didn't cancel within 30 days I would automatically be billed $67 a month. I realized I had fallen for this "free" trial when my credit card just got hit for my first recurring charge of $67 today. Only then does the site tell you that it was clearly printed (yes, at the bottom of a long email receipt that no one reads). Also, I didn't find the training course helpful for my 7-month-old Doberman. The training "book" that I paid an additional $70 for took over two weeks to arrive and is a bunch of typing paper in a spiral binder, and full of typos. I did not find this course helpful and am going to try another company. An ethical company doesn't try to pull a "fast one" by slipping in a recurring monthly membership. The email I got from the company was that my card had already been charged for the first recurring monthly fee. An ethical company would have at least notified me BEFORE they charged my card. This apparently has happened to a lot of other people who thought they were buying a one-time product from Train Pet Dog because they had a very long section that popped up about cancelling your recurring fee, how you had been notified, and what to do to avoid future charges. They are scamming people.

It was of no use

It was of no use, my dog is about to be 11 and I just wasted a lot of money thinking you were part of Cesar Milan’s organization.

Very helpful!

They're very attentive to my needs (brand-new puppy), and they don't over-communicate (like with too many emails). The articles/lessons are good, and I love having access to trainers via the Elite Dog Club. Sometimes I find it difficult to read through all the info - even in spurts - but it's good to have a LOT of info to go back to.

So many things are wrong with this company. It took multiple email addresses from my electronic device, charged me three times when I did not sign up.

The site obviously has some type of malware which steals information.

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!

Money well spent

The information is nicely put into categories so that I was able to address my most pressing issues while going over the rest of the information at another time. Having trainer calls available when I run out of ideas, or am using counterproductive techniques without knowing it, is extremely helpful for problems unique to my situation. I consider the program to be money well spent and I have very few discretionary funds available.
