Mix of small medium eggs.
AH fools people.
Even if 1 person paying 20 cents extra, imagine how much AH is earning from the whole population. I have always thought that European countries are consumer friendly and they take actions for such Quality issues.
Very disappointed 😞

I have been a loyal Albert Heijn…

I have been a loyal Albert Heijn customer for years, spending roughly €6,000–€7,000 annually at this store. Unfortunately, that loyalty seems to mean very little when life happens.
I recently missed my pickup timeslot due to unexpected circumstances. Instead of offering a customer-friendly solution—such as allowing me to pick up the groceries the next day—AH simply charged me a steep €25 penalty fee.
I understand logistics are complex, but a €25 fine for a loyal customer is excessive and feels punitive. A simple reschedule would have saved the sale and the customer relationship. Instead, I’m left out of pocket and feeling undervalued. I expect better flexibility from a premium supermarket.

Self check out

The only cashier at my local AH in Eerste van Swindenstraat in Amsterdam Oost, is closed 9 times out of 10 at any time of the day.
That forces me to scan the products myself meaning I have to do work that should be done by staff.
On top of that, frequent control checks waste even more time and with the the added risk of being fined if an honest mistake is made.

This setup is inefficient and customer-unfriendly.

They normally do there job good. But because of the Snow ( I think ), the order was canceled. But that was only visible on my bank account. because the money was returned. But they didn't send any message, that it was canceled.
This is very bad, AH

Something wrong

The staff have become really rude; I don't know what's going on. In the 11 years I've been going there, everyone was nice, but now they're like animals... What's going on? The boss is probably crazy. I've known those girls for over 7 years, and they were all nice. Now they're all aggressive, constantly rummaging through my bag, looking for stolen goods. 06.11.2025 But it's the Dutch who are stealing; I see them every day.

I had a lot of problems with AH

I had a lot of problems with AH. And every time it's getting worse.
Several weeks ago courier breaks down into my house when I was not there! Did you know that company does NOT check them for mental or criminal past before hire?!
And today operator at the phone just cancelled my delivery without my permission! Without any alternatives. And they suggest me to pay for that.
Now it is case for my lawyer.
But I really believe that collective case will be much more effective.
Everybody who tired of that "service" let's make it together!

Shit shop experience

Shit shop experience! Not sure why they charge 15 percent more than other supermarkets while not offering basics, always dirty, no plastic bags to get fruits and vegies! But then they sell those stupid nets you want your fruits not to be touched by dirty hands of cashier or be in a dirty basket! Like if that 1 euro net can help! Also not really eco friendly if AH wants to make a point? Also, all vegies and fruits come from same warehouses, so why do they charge us EXTRA?! Fts!

I will never shop at the Albert Heijn…

I will never shop at the Albert Heijn on Vondellaan again. The staff is consistently rude and shows little respect towards customers. Around half of the products are not labeled properly, making it frustrating to find what you need. On top of that, staff members are often on their phones texting instead of working. Overall, a very unprofessional experience. I would not recommend doing your groceries here.

Every time I go into an Albert Heijn I…

Every time I go into an Albert Heijn I feel like a criminal. They give you so little space to put your groceries when you're trying to scan them so it becomes a juggling act to not drop or damage the items. Then if you get the 1 in 10 chance to be checked the person unpacks everything out of your bags, further damaging the items and taking even more time. Then if you mention anything about the process the get uppity and tell you to tell their manager or whatever and basically blame you the customer. And if you want to get out of the store with no items you cannot -- you have to find a "colleague", who will invariably be busy, to let you out.

We are customers and not criminals to be blamed!

The most recent experience was at the XL AH at Gelderlandplein. I hope AH's monopoly gets broken.

Fraudulent Behavior & Worst Customer Service at Albert Heijn Eindhoven (5612CP)

Fraud & Terrible Service at Albert Heijn Eindhoven – Do NOT Trust Them!

I want to warn others about the fraudulent and unacceptable behavior I experienced at Albert Heijn, Tongelresestraat, Eindhoven (5612CP).

On February 19, 2025, my wife and I bought four Apple Gift Cards (€150 each) at this store.

Later that night, we discovered that one gift card was never activated. Apple Support confirmed this clearly. We immediately returned to the store and explained everything. Shockingly, staff refused responsibility. After a long argument, they admitted their colleague gave us an inactive card and kept the activated one with herself but they still refused to refund us. Instead, they took both the inactive card and the activated one, leaving us with nothing. I even recorded a video of the store manager, Mr. Giem van der Velden, taking both cards as proof.

I showed them the purchase receipt, Apple’s confirmation emails, and explained the mistake was clearly theirs. Still, they refused to cooperate.

When I called Albert Heijn’s customer service in front of the manager, they confirmed on the phone that I was entitled to a refund. But the manager refused to accept this, claiming he only trusted calls from the store’s phone, which he made privately and continued to deny us the refund.

I contacted Albert Heijn customer service over 10 times, explaining everything and providing full proof:

Receipt of purchase

Emails from Apple confirming the inactive card

Video evidence showing the manager taking both cards

Despite this, Earta, Senior Medewerker Klantenservice emailed me falsely blaming me and backing up the store’s unethical behavior. This is nothing short of protecting fraudulent actions by their staff.

Summary:

Store: Albert Heijn, Tongelresestraat, 5612CP Eindhoven

Manager: Mr. Giem van der Velden

Customer Service Contact: Earta, Senior Medewerker Klantenservice

Issue: Paid €150 for an inactive Apple Gift Card, store took activated card, refused refund, and customer service ignored clear proof.

Conclusion:

Albert Heijn charged us for a product we never received, withheld the correct card, refused a refund, and their customer service actively covered up the issue despite clear evidence. Stay away from Albert Heijn, especially when buying gift cards—they cannot be trusted!

Please get the managers out of bed.

I am not sure if anyone is actually managing this store in the last years. Some tips: (a) staff training: the staff need to learn that they are there to serve the customer; they need to be friendly, intelligent and helpful. Teenagers are naturally sullen and miserable, but they have to be trained to at least pretend to be civil. Neurologically-divergent staff should be supervised: I was today abused by a young man on staff who complained that I, the customer, was encroaching on his personal aisle. (b) Safety: at all times all aisles should be accessible, so that in the event of emergency, customers can move through the store without obstruction. (c) Have the store ready for customers before you open the shop: there used to be an excellent, happy, efficient Polish crew who did the shelf-filling in the early morning hours, so that the store was customer-ready at opening time. Stop being lazy: and that especially applies to AH management who clearly don't give a flying fck about the customers.

Shixxy attitude of staff checking my…

sShixxy attitude of staff checking my items at self pay. They have very few tills left now. So not only do we do the shadow work of scanning our own things but once they have pulled out all items they refuse to put them back. What a totally lazy attitude. I wasn't raised like that. I asked them to simply do their job to which they barked back it’s not my job! Followed by well of course it is from me (sounding no doubt like a spoiled rich kid which I most certainly am not) . Sick of you AH a multi million company. I know I should shut up and shop elsewhere. I shall try. I admit they are probably paid low by this multi-million earning company but still basic customer care helps to keep business.

Checking customers bags in unfriendly manner

The really disappointing thing is the security staff or system with ai in general is doing their work / it’s work, but at the same time, bothering its customers in a way which is not professionally. Why sending some teen / adult workers (sorry for this term) to someone for checking his/her bag more than x times? Did they not realize that they loose their returning visitors? Perhaps, they stay away for good and never coming back to this specific location at Paul Kruger***** in the Haq** (Netherlands). Why doing this behavior? Discrimination? I understand the security / safety system, but this helps nothing but angry customers in return. My advice is … first, to put your belongings near the entrance, second … incl. any bags you are carry with you. Unnecessary…
