Insured package went missing, only offered €50 (Insured for €500)
On 29 December, I sent a valuable local parcel and insured it for €500 (Item value was €700). I dropped it off at pick up point and got a posting receipt. I understand that it’s a holiday season and post is slower. On 6 January, still no movements, not even scanned, while other packages I sent made it safely.
I opened an investigation, provided evidence (posting receipt, item photos and purchase receipt).
After a long wait and back and forth, the case was handed over to a special “klantenservice” department. The case was handled by someone named Monique and she asked for the same documents that I already submitted and after more waiting and back and forth, she wrote that she will compensate me €50 plus item postage minus insurance charge.
This is absurd. I checked their T&C and nowhere there mentioned that staff could reimburse any random amount she feels like.
I have been using their services for nearly 20 years and in all those years, I have only submitted missing item claims 3x and all of them were reimbursed based on the value of item/insurance coverage.
I’m looking to file a complaint/escalate a claim, if anyone has more experience/tips please share.

LOST MY PACKAGE. I honestly am just so frustrated as I’ve lost like £100 and I can’t do anything about it. They shipped my package over from the Netherlands to the uk and then it just stopped updating completely and I assume it’s just lost so now I have to accept this loss and get nothing for there responsibility. Post Nl lost my package, it was stolen to a different continent, and their answer after 'investigation' is: no sorries, no indemnification.
A second letter to the court has been completely lost a few weeks later.
This is third world level postal operations in a first world charging scheme...

My parcel was simply not delivered. Although I had written the address correctly, the courier decided otherwise and sent my parcel back! I am outraged.
Poor time management! I bealive the driver just canceled my order!!

The delivery was canceled on the morning of the delivery day with no explanation and no advance notice. Like many customers, I planned my schedule around the expected delivery, and the last-minute cancellation caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience. If a delivery cannot be completed, this should be communicated earlier and with a clear reason. Overall, this reflects poor communication and unreliable service.

De levering werd op de ochtend van de bezorgdag geannuleerd, zonder enige uitleg en zonder voorafgaande melding.
Zoals veel klanten had ik mijn planning afgestemd op de verwachte bezorging, en de last-minute annulering zorgde voor onnodige stress en ongemak.
Als een levering niet kan worden uitgevoerd, hoort dit eerder en met een duidelijke reden te worden gecommuniceerd.
Al met al toont dit slechte communicatie en een onbetrouwbare dienstverlening.

This is some kind of joke! This company is an absurd. I payed 13€ to deliver a letter to Poland. It was supposed to be within 2-5 working days. On a 6th day it's still not at my place! If you have respect to yourself, dont waste your time on this company.
Worst service ever
Worst service ever.
They don’t even ring the bell, pretend they missed you though, only to then bring your 15kg parcel to a location super far away without any option to get in contact with them. This is absolutely insane and unfortunately not the first time this has happened to me. Simply unbelievable.
Parcels are stolen
Parcels are stolen, not delivered, no contact or phone number. They liquidated all the numbers. You're talking to a bot about nothing. This is the worst company in Europe. Drama, what did you do with her?
Super impatient delivery
I have a home delivery. The delivery guy rang the bell and it took me about half a minute to get downstaris. Guess what? The delivery guy disappeared already and I have to spend half an hour to get the package myself.

Fine delivery, not too bad! Have had some issuesi nt he past but this time was good!
Wrong and impossible deliveries
Packages almost always "deliver unsuccessfully" and are sent directly to the PostNL Point.
This time, it required a delivery code, but the code did not work at the PostNL Point, and due to an internal PostNL error it was impossible to request again on website, phone or app.
Support told me they couldn't do anything and I would have to send it back and explain to the sender.

Lost parcel, refusal to compensate and provide assistance
I shipped a parcel early December from Netherlands to non-EU country. One month later, the parcel still wasn't there. I enquired to PostNL staff and they allegedly opened an investigation. However, 3 days later they called me to tell that it is missing, how deeply sorry they are, and offered to compensate the equivalent of shipping service (which is negligible comparing to the content of the parcel). When I asked what was done to find it, I was told by an employee that I won't understand the processes even if explained.
I took matter into my own hands. Needless to say, it took about half an hour to locate the parcel and request that it is delivered. The post service at the destination country informed me that PostNL made a mistake, which they couldn't admit. Furthermore, I haven't received any compensation for the package that PostNL lost.
To sum up, the parcel was lost due to PostNL mistake, the employee provided bare minimum help and showed no desire assist any further. Scammed me for 40 EUR for a 1 month long shipment that couldn't even be delivered...

On 17 january 2026 I was expected to receive my package, i saw post nl car van courier through my window. I thought finely I will receive my package but no, then I saw the post nl driver was driving I away from my house. then few days later I could pick it up at the post nl drop off.

I contacted PostNL customer service…
I contacted PostNL customer service (with this tracking number CK086329330NL) regarding my AliExpress orders:

The packages were lost by Colis Privé, and I was simply seeking assistance to see if PostNL could help. The agent I spoke with was impatient, unprofessional, and told me the tracking number did not exist, even though I had two official proofs: tracking on the PostNL website and the Cainiao tracking for my AliExpress order.
No concrete assistance was provided. The responses were automatic and incoherent. I find this customer service extremely poor and incompetent.
I am posting these facts to inform other customers and to document my case, as I am pursuing action with AliExpress and the DGCCRF to get a refund for my lost packages.

PostNL said they attempted delivery, but I was home the whole time and nobody came to the door. Tracking showed a “failed delivery attempt” with no photo or proof. Not reliable.
