Absolutely appalled by this company.
Absolutely appalled by this company.
Applied for a job through them and haven’t received anything from them throughout the week. Tried to ring using the number given on the job ad; it rang for a bit and then sent me to voicemail, which was full. The next day it was the same, so I contacted the main office. The lady was nice and gave me an email for the responsible person (Ryan Foley), as I couldn’t get through on the phone. Not long after sending an email with an enquiry about updates, instead of replying politely with something like “sorry, this job is no longer available,” they removed the job ad and deleted my account that I had created when applying.
These used to be a very good agency…
G.I Group used to be a very good agency when I last worked for them doing a driving job 3 1/2 years ago, but have gone downhill.
I attended an induction at a company on Friday 9th Jan, for a start on the Monday morning, and was more than happy with what I’d seen on the walkaround.
I was looking forward to starting work once again, particularly after my redundancy.
Now, before I go any further, I would like to just say that everybody’s personal circumstances family wise are different. No two peoples are the same, but these goons didn’t seem to comprehend this in any way shape or form when I explained to them the below.
My elderly father aged 83 unfortunately collapsed very early hours Saturday morning, so I was in hospital over weekend with him.
However, this particular consultant kept bombarding me with WhatsApp messages asking me to complete the Yoti link.
Even when I explained to her where I was and why, and I will do it asap, she still bombarded me.
I’m now my Dad’s sole carer. Because he was still weak and ill, I had to make sure he was okay and comfortable before I left him to go to work in good time on the Monday morning.
It’s difficult juggling your own family life, work to pay your bills, feed mouths, as well as caring for an elderly parent.
Particularly when you’re the only one who does all the work.
I called the female consultant who was bombarding me with WhatsApp messages, explaining that I’m running slightly behind because of heavy traffic, and that I’m not far away, and I’ll be a little late.
I also told her because I’m more than happy to stay behind to make it up, or come in for an extra hour or two in the mornings. It’s no problem.
In my mind, I was compromising by offering to do this.
The response I got from the consultant was surprising to say the least.
Instead of listening, she snapped at me that the agency “only want reliable people and not to bother turning in!” before hastily putting the phone down on me.
Who on earth does this stuck up bit of fluff think she is?
Not too long after I got an abrupt text message from her saying ”You’re a waste of time so we’re not going to put you on any future assignments with us as you’re unreliable!”
How can I be unreliable if I’ve made the effort to get up and ready for work really early, care for my Dad, and drive to workplace?
I called her to try and resolve this, but she wouldn’t answer the phone at all. Pure cowardice.
Instead, on my third attempt of calling, the branch manager answered and gave me a volley of abuse.
Among things he said were “you knew all of this was going to happen so shouldn’t have took on the job, it’s not our heads it’s your problem!!!!”
Ok, so I’m a mind reader now am I? If I was psychic, and knew this was going to happen, I’d have also put the lottery on.
I gave as good as I got though. I won't tolerate being spoken to, or treated in this appalling manner by anyone.
I hope one day that these slimeball, so-called Recruitment consultants experience a taste of their own medicine when one of their parents or immediate family fall ill, and they try and cope.
This horrible experience reinforces my mistrust with nearly all agencies. They are parasitic low lives, who have no empathy or consideration.
There are only a small minority of employment agencies out there that I have dealt with and would recommend to others.
To anyone that is even considering any roles with these planks, just don’t bother because they will treat you like something you’ve trodden in.
Missing Wages
Honestly the worst company you could possibly work for, how am I having to chase up my own wages. Useless pricks.
Extremely unorganised
Extremely unorganised, time wasters that don’t respond after wasting your time, don’t even bother using them as an agency. Terrible service.
i did like the job, but stole my money
i did like the job, but there did not pay me for my holidays which i never took,
Spam experts!
I received a text message this morning asking if I had a moment free. I replied asking who it was and they identified themselves as Liberty from Gi Group Int(UK) and they had opportunities for me, I declined and asked them to explain how and why they had my number and if not, to delete my number...completely disregarded that and tried to push sending me more information. I've never heard of them and certainly didn't request information or to be spammed by their useless service. Blocked the number and screenshot the conversation. Even if I was looking for work, after that I wouldn't use them any way!
Racist scum that hate all non whites…
Racist scum that hate all non whites apparently. Awful employees in particular chris and ryan at shoreham branch who should be fired
Have applied for several jobs that this…
Have applied for several jobs that this company advertised, no luck for myself but it seems they prefer to provide jobs for foreign workers rather than native born British citizens as myself. Found out through a friend of mine that his wife was offered a warehouse job with zero prior experience and she's only been in the UK for several months. I've applied for several warehouse jobs with prior experience over the course of a year through this agency and still no luck. I've now told them to delete my details from their system. Very disappointed with this agency. Won't be going anywhere near them again...
I had a very disappointing experience…
I had a very disappointing experience with Gi Group, particularly in my interactions with Kristina Nikolova. Communication was poor throughout the process, and I often felt left in the dark without updates or clear answers. Expectations were not managed well, and there seemed to be little regard for professionalism or follow-through.
I tried to raise my concerns directly, but nothing was resolved. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not recommend Gi Group to anyone seeking reliable or supportive employment services.
Never get breaks
Never get breaks holiday requests regularly refused. Booked in for overtime I haven't agreed to literally every week the worst employer I have ever had to work with hands down.
Be aware this agency abusing with…
Be aware this agency abusing with people's private data . ABSOLUTE RUBBISH
Temporary Staff
I worked for GI Group in the UK for nearly six month and I have to say I am very disppointed with them as an employee. Communication and legal paperwork is either not done or very late. Trying to find out how must holiday you have accrued is rubbish and they are so late paying pension contributions I think any are doing something illegal!!! I would NOT recommend them to anyone
I had a meeting this morning in Berlin
I had a meeting this morning in Berlin, scheduled last week. We had numerous email exchanges in the meantime. Since I had already signed up with several similar staffing agencies without any results, I requested to have a video interview instead. They refused, arguing that people from the company interested in my resume would be present and that I needed to be there in person. They also asked me to bring my passport, ID card, tax number, social insurance number, health insurance card, IBAN, etc., which is illegal and unnecessary without a signed contract (which I told them, but they dismissed it with nonsensical excuses and nonsense).
I arrived at the interview, and another person greeted me, not knowing my scheduled interview. I asked to speak with Mr. Engel, and he told me that he would take the interview instead, without any further explanation. He had not read my resume and had no clue about the position I was being interviewed for. The company that was supposed to be present was also not there (of course). I insisted on speaking with the person I had originally arranged the interview with. My interlocutor seemed surprised and irritated by this simple request. Eventually, the person I was supposed to meet appeared. He repeated the same nonsense that the lady who called me last week had said. I asked him why the company in question was not there. He responded with the same nonsense and aggressively asked me twice, "Aren't you looking for a job?" as if that was a substitute for a clear answer to my legitimate question, designed to avoid addressing the blatant incoherence and misleading tactics by throwing in some guilt-inducing, ridiculous question. I thought it was a cheap psychological tactic. I told him that I thought they were a serious company. He then invited me to leave. I complied immediately and said absolutely nothing.
I wasted 3 hours getting there and 8 euros in transportation, which they, of course, will not reimburse. This kind of agency should close down on the spot.
The general attitude of these two interlocutors was one of condescension and contempt. I am still furious and disgusted by the entire experience. These people think they have all the rights and that we are at their complete disposal. I worked as a recruiter in another life and I would throw such people out immediately. I gave them one star because there are no other options but they deserve absolutely none.
My experience with Gi Group has been…
My experience with Gi Group has been very disappointing. The lack of professionalism and coordination within their team is evident, as each member of the company provided me with different information. Additionally, they do not respond promptly when you ask questions or need clarifications. They called me to ask if I was ready to start working, and then I had to wait more than 24 days for them to tell me when I should sign the contract with the final company. I would not recommend working with them, as in my opinion, their management leaves much to be desired. Honestly, even half a star would be too much.
Asking for my NI and ID. BIG RED FLAG.
Asking for my NI and ID when no other recruitment agency has asked me for this before. CV is usually good enough and the private information part is usually the employers responsibilty. Major red flag. Website kept getting flagged for phishing on my anti-virus when researching them, just scetchy. Not worth it for a warehouse job I'm apparently over qualified for.
Not safe for me
Asking for my bank history it’s a huge fraud because it’s a sensitive information, if it was for some credit history you can find them on the government website.
I gave the first 6 months during the covid and the HMRC past five years, everything was ok and than after the wish for the good week end and will see for the available interviews once the employer in this case Morrisons meter reading answers, we’ll let you know.
Not even 10 minutes after, another email by him by asking the bank statement from August until 25 October and I refused, because there is called privacy and replied that I will show that once I got the interview appointment and give those details to a real person rather than someone who stays in office sat all day and thinking to be smarter of who is looking for a job desperately.
Definitely the most disgusting period of my life and those heartless people continuing their dirty business.
I wish you all good luck for the job hunting, stay away from predators.
Avoid this agency
Avoid this agency. You can keep applying for work with these, but you will get reply back saying not enough experience even though you have got more than enough. There only interest in jobs they want you to do with low wage. Wouldn't recommend at all. Avoid
The worst recruiting agency
The worst customer service ever.
I went to sign the contract from Chemnitz to Leipzig on my own after getting their message, about asking me to sign the contract. When I go there, they says that they don't have any spaces currently. They didn't even let me enter the room. Just told me this information very casually. I asked them why would they call me the day before to sign the contract and then say this. They have no answers not even a sorry. Later, they told me, they'll call me in that week to come again to sign contract and never did. The worst thing is that, I tried reaching them so many times, with email, with phone. But they never answers.
This is by far the worst recruiting agency in Germany as per my knowledge and I wish they are out of business so that no one else suffers the same as me from this irresponsible crap of a company. At least one less bad recruitment company in the market
If I could leave 0 stars I would
If I could leave 0 stars I would.
Rude insulting staff, utterly incompetent. The recruitment process for a job at Royal Mail was an absolute joke. I gave up!
