Had my first hearing test at the Sutton Surrey branch last week. Due to hearing loss from years of DJing and drilling during my day job I have hearing loss. With the expert advice from Nadia I decided to buy the Specsavers Advanced Elite hearing aids. Following my fitting on Friday my life has changed for the better. They are a game changer with all the technology and app etc.

My need for new lenses was a great experience. They are a lens company, rather than a retail business trying to sell you frames. Bought my own frames which was no issue and they were very professional and great value for money. Highly recommend!

Specsavers in Tenterden, Kent, were amazing. Kind, friendly and really thorough staff. Nothing too much trouble for them and so helpful. My daughter had the last appointment of the day and all the staff stayed late as it turned out to be quite a complex eye check. Amazing!

I have struggled with my verificals for the past 4 years, as a result of the reading section being marked incorrectly. I've ploughed through and a month ago decided to get my eyes tested and buy new glasses. I chose to go to Specsavers in abbey center and the experience was excellent. From the waiting time the choice to have the added scan, the optician who did the test, and then the selection of glasses and the special offers which I was delighted with. One set of glasses cost me £500 4 years ago, and this time I can read correctly and two pairs of lovely frames and glasses cost me £340. I highly recommend this branch of Specsavers and will definitely be using them again. My husband has already been for his appointment and will be placing his order in the next few days.

What a complete shambles just spent over an hour waiting for glasses only to be told they're not ready. I have been a customer of this brand for over 30 years and the service just gets worse every year. It's like they are doing you the favour to be allowed to buy a pair of glasses.

The appointment was at 14:10 and arrived at 14:15 and waited 10m minutes in the queue. I asked my daughter to check in as I was tired and there were no seats availble to site down, so I knew my checks will be done upstairs, so i went upstairs and sat on the seat near the windows. I get phone call from my daughter and could hear the assistant yelling at my daughter saying why has he gone up stairs when he hasnot checked in. I came downstairs and the assitant said you will have to wait lomg time, i asked how long is long tiem, she said it will be very long time because we xcame late. Then another guy got involved and he said 20 min and he got intimidated with my expression, which I understood and remain calm. But the assistant was smirking which made me very angry. I decided to walk out and told the guy please cancel and I will not be using Spec Sasvers again. I have been a customer for 20 years. I walked out from SpecSavers and walked into Boots, with a lovely Customer Service.
Spec Savers No Thanks.

I had gone in to have my Viktor & Rolf glasses tightened from the Specsavers in Brighton.
The person who was doing this clearly did not have a clue what they were doing.
In the end on returning home I found that the original screws on my very expensive glasses that I have purchased from Spec savers had been replaced with screws that did not even fit my glasses and so my glasses now have screws that have completely ruined my glasses.
I had gone back to the Specsavers Brighton store to ask for them to be replaced or fixed.
The Clinical Manager of the store person called Pedro was very rude and did not seem to care that the wrong screws were put on my glasses even when he could clearly see this.
And he just said that they put put screws that do not fit the glasses all the time and this was no big deal.
I asked for the original screws for my glasses back and he said this would not be possible since they had been disclosed of.
I insisted on the glasses be at least put screws that actually fit the glasses and on him going to try and do this he came back to me and said that he could not take the screws out of my glasses.
So I have fake screws in the glasses and the original screws have been disposed of.
On asking if I could be a replacement of my glasses that they have now basically ruined he said that I would need to pay for them again. ( Really ).
He then kept talking over me so I could not even put more point across as the consumer and proceed to fob me off by saying I would need to take this up with customer service.
How is this normal practice when a customer goes in to get his glasses tightened and leaves with screws that are not even for the glasses and the original screws are disposed of.
So 170 quid pair of glasses ruined by incompetent staff and a Clinical Manager who needs some serious Customer service training.
Not a Happy Customer.

Really impressed with the Swindon branch - they accidentally gave me the wrong glasses - I had no idea I just thought my eyes were adjusting to the new lenses - the supervisor called me and was very apologetic and instantly told me I could bring them in and get the right one - no drama at all got there and was in and out in 15 minutes ! Really good service

I visited Dr. Wonil Johann Ko, OD at Specsavers – 110 Place d’Orléans with a specific issue: swelling, itching, pain, and redness of the skin around my eyes. I also mentioned that my eyes had been operated on in the past, thinking this might be relevant for treatment. Dr. Ko was polite, calm, and listened attentively, and he conducted a standard eye exam and checked my glasses.
However, my main issue was not resolved. The doctor prescribed an ointment that had been discontinued, then replaced it with another that was not suitable for the skin around my eyes. I had to wait again for a new prescription, and only with the pharmacist’s help was I able to get an appropriate treatment. Dr. Ko did not review my previous medical records or fully assess my current eye condition. When I asked if I could return in two weeks if the problem persisted, he said he would not be able to help.
Pros: polite and calm, standard vision check performed.
Cons: treatment did not address my actual problem, previous records were not reviewed, insufficient guidance for a complex case.
Overall: attentive but not effective in resolving my specific issues.

When I walked in I gave my details sat there for nearly an hour people who came in after me was getting seen to I went to the counter to tell them I had been waiting for an hour they had forgot about me, sat down waited another half hour they forgot about me again when I finally got my test done it took them around 10 minutes i have glaucoma so should have took over 30 minutes, makes me wonder if they missed the glaucoma the first time round wasn't till I got an infection and had to go to hospital they diagnosed it

I am unhappy because I had an ear wax removal appointment booked at the bournemouth branch but when I went there they told me that the clinic for ear wax removal wasn’t open so I was told to go to boscombe branch where they were doing walk ins at anytime through out the day so I went there instead however when I got to the boscombe branch I was told by the customer advisor that they aren’t doing walk ins and they were fully booked for the day so I had to reschedule for next week on Christmas Eve. I feel like I should have been told at least a day before or early this morning that my appointment today wasn’t happening.

I went to get my eye test and asked for blue tint on my lenses as I have to use the pc on a daily basis, went to collect my glasses on Sunday and got told by a member of staff that the green tint are the same as blue. Phoned back the branch after when I got home and told after due to my prescription they can't do this. This should have been told to me at the start as I have spent money on glasses and not received the right lenses to do my job. Spoke to the manager who tried to help but was told nothing they can do

In May-2025, I purchased two pairs of computer glasses from Specsavers for €699. As these were the first official glasses I used daily, I trusted the advice and prescription provided to me.
Recently, I booked an appointment to explore whether varifocals would be suitable for me. I was told that no new test was needed because “my eyes should be the same.” I was also told I should wear my computer glasses all the time, which contradicted what I understood computer glasses were designed for.
After noticing that my over-the-counter reading glasses worked better than the computer glasses from Specsavers, I scheduled a new appointment for today (04-12-2025).
During this appointment, the optician informed me that the prescription I received in May was completely incorrect and that this was a mistake on Specsavers’ side. This naturally explains why I have been struggling with the glasses I purchased.
While I appreciate that Specsavers offers a 3-month guarantee, this situation goes beyond a standard adjustment:
I purchased two pairs of glasses based on an incorrect prescription, and I have now spent months with unusable glasses that I paid a significant amount of money for.
Following the test, I attempted to place a new order. Unfortunately, the experience did not improve:
When I sat down with the consultant, she opened with, “What is your story?” which felt dismissive and unprofessional.
When I asked if my existing Specsavers frames (bought this year) could be reused, I was told it would cost more because discounts do not apply unless frames are bought again.
I was not offered any lens options (Premium, Elite, Ultimate) and later discovered the consultant had selected “Elite” without discussing it with me.
When I questioned this over the phone, the consultant spoke over me and eventually raised her voice, saying, “Excuse me, I am trying to help you,” while I was still speaking.
This level of service is unacceptable, especially given the initial error made with my prescription and the amount of money I have already spent.
