Ridiculous price for replacement lens
Been a customer for years. I had an accident and scratched the lens of one of my glasses, less than 2 years old. I was quoted -£210! What an absolute ripoff.
The appointment time was too long
The appointment time was too long. Mine took one and a half hours. However the members of staff were excellent. Professional helpful and informative. But the prices are higher Than I expected with cost of tinting and lenses being too high. I had therefore to cut the tinting from one pair. There are no facilities to pay over a period of time for those who could not afford the £460 my bill was. This bill was nearly double my last bill. Yes I could buy cheaper but the choice in the cheaper glasses was limited for the style and colour making the customer having to move to higher price items. It was also an expectation to fill the prescription at the store with the prescription not being completed fully so I could choose to go elsewhere.
Texts after the shop has closed to stop me contacting them
While I have no complaints about my eye test itself (Specsavers Ty Glas Cardiff). I am very frustrated by receiving multiple text messages after the shop has closed. One to tell me that my glasses were delayed and couldn’t be picked up the next morning and another a few days later to tell me to phone then after I’d requested they phoned me to let me know when they finally arrived. In my opinion this is poor customer service.

Thorough and professional examination with excellent explanation of results by optician Nasir. When choosing frames Teagan's knowledge of what was available and suitable for my needs was excellent.
On collection of the spectacles Amber took care to ensure they fitted perfectly.
The whole team at the Bury store were welcoming, polite and provided a very personal service.
The only negative issue is the cost of the glasses which is still quite high.
