Order local currency before travelling

Before going overseas I use ForeignXchange to get a set amount of cash in large to small denominations in the local currency, to use as tips, at markets, bargaining for purchases using cash etc. If the ATM'S are down or my card is faulty I am protected.

Sturdier envelopes and tracking please!

The CDs were posted without tracking and in a sturdy but unpadded post bag, but when they arrived, rather than ring my bell the postman stupidly jammed them into my letterbox so hard both cases shattered, and I have been in dispute with Australia Post for a whole week. A sturdier padded postbag and tracking would have gone some way towards preventing the postman from being able to destroy them.

A slow process

The exchange rate isn't terrific for buying foreign currency. I ordered it on the 14th and Travelex have responded that I could have picked it up on the 15th, and I must have selected the 25th 'in error'. Odd response. The 24th was the first available day on their drop-down menu to have it delivered and picked up at the Post Office. Waiting 11 days for it to be delivered is painful. Wished I'd just gone & got it over the counter.

We do try to offer our customers the convenience of securing their transaction at a rate competitive in the market and like all travel money providers, we buy and sell currencies. There are many degrees of rate setting by different businesses and the rate will depend on the type of transaction and amount being exchanged.
With regards to the delivery of your order, we can see that the 25th Aug has been selected as the delivery date, so whether you selected this in error and you meant to select 15th Aug. There is a drop down menu on the website where you select the delivery date. Unfortunately once the order has been processed we have no means of changing the date.

I had to fix Cancelons mistake

I booked a twin bed hotel room for myself and my adult daughter and Cancelon confirmed a double bed but refused to alter it to two twins. I had to phone the hotel myself from Australia to London to fix the problem. Terrible service Cancelon.

Torture: totally unacceptable and unprofessional conduct

How are these people still in business? Not the first debacle I've had with them. Having received notice my parcel would be delivered I stayed home and waited all day, only to see at 5pm on the tracking website it had been entered hours previously as 1. 'delivered' AND 2. "unable to be delivered due to lack of parking' (untrue). No card, no notification. I phoned the Brisbane base & after being put on hold for a long time heard no reasons, no apology, silly excuses and a statement that it was with the driver & would be delivered the next day.
But next day the process was repeated - no parcel and this time no entry at all on the tracking website for the day. Where was my property? Another long wait on hold in the afternoon & was told it was with the driver (still! why?) and it would 'probably' be delivered next day. And after 3 days of furious waiting & telephoning it was dumped in my courtyard without the bell being rung as requested. I never saw the driver. Now I won't deal with any business who uses Couriers Please.

Endless harassment because I reported that I did not receive an item and untrue offers to resolve it!

I have been a very frequent Fishpond customer and even written a glowing review. But when an order did not arrive in July 2017, not only was my request for a refund rudely refused because they believed 'it would arrive', but even when they eventually refunded me months after taking my money, I have since received TWO requests from NZ Post demanding that I return detailed forms & saying they are responding to an enquiry from Fishpond re the non-delivery of the item. I responded in full to the first enquiry even attaching my correspondence with Fishpond. Now the second identical request! Emails to service at fishpond are returned as 'an unmonitored address" so I cannot contact Fishpond directly to ask why they are harassing me. All I can do is withdraw my business.
PS: "Catherine" from Fishpond has TWICE responded to Trustpilot saying that Fishpond will be in touch to resolve this but I have had NO CONTACT from her.
