Needed a new laptop very quickly since I was only in The Netherlands for two days, and I ordered in the morning, could pick it up same day in the afternoon, built to order. Amazing.

The laptop had some hardware issues unfortunately. BTO-Helpdesk was very helpful. They pick up the phone in 10 seconds (no waiting, no annoying voice response system) and they answered email in a few hours. Try that with IBM or Dell...

We could not fix the hardware problem and I was forced to buy another laptop. The BTO-laptop I could return. No difficult questions, no problems, just ship it and money returned.

So the laptop did have some issues, but BTO as a company is very responsive. Unexpectedly good.

Bought a xiaomi phone. Stopped working after a week. Sent it back to China. After 9 months still no repaired phone.

They admitted they had lost the phone, but they would send a comparable model. After two months they indeed sent a phone, but a Chinese version that was pretty much useless in Europe. Also I suspect it was a refurbished model because it crashed after 5 minutes and then got stuck in a bootloop.

So I got I asked what to do next. They said "nothing, your warranty period has expired. Bye".

Crap company.

Telefoon ging defect, teruggestuurd naar China. Na 9 maanden werd ik ietsje ongeduldig en toen wilden ze mij eerst afschepen met een overjarig model, en toen ik niet accoord ging stuurden ze mij een telefoon met net iets betere specs. Goeie deal zou je denken. Mooi niet: die nieuwe telefoon was kapot en crasht en reboot voortdurend.
