This company is a nightmare.

This company is a nightmare.
Due to the corona virus we had to cancel our Singapore airlines flight booked through Expedia in 2021, with departure in February 2022. We struggled to obtain a credit with Expedia that has to be used before end of 2023. Recently, we found a flight we wanted to book via Expedia. To use our credit we had to call the call center of Expedia and book a flight with Singapore airlines.

We told them that we found a flight that we wanted to book, we had to pay the difference of 200 euro but we were ok with that. Expedia then told us that they cannot see the flight we want to book on their system, instead they offered us another flight but we have to pay a difference of 4 thousands euro.

They said that the flight we saw on their system are not for the customers with credit, which didn't make any no sense at all. We respected the conditions that were imposed on us, but they just seemed to have created another unwritten conditions to extort more money from us.

We are obviously not happy at all about that situation and since we chose the Singapore Airline, we called them for help. They told us that the tickets are refundable under their Covid 19 policy. We then had to call back the Expedia (because Expedia was unable to reach their own suppliers (!!!)) Expedia told us that they cannot refund us our credit because they cannot get in touch with Singapore Airline.

Expedia even asked us to provide them with the phone number to call Singapore Airline.

This is just insane. We chose Expedia because we thought this was a big company and we trusted them. Obviously we made a huge mistake. This company does not care at all about customers and we feel hostage to the situation as the the contacts we have are changing every time we call, and we have to repeat our issue every single time.

The amount of time and energy spent with this company is enormous, and we still havent had any progress after 3 weeks of struggles and at least 15+ hours on the phone.

We though flight agents were there to helps us not to scam us.
It has been hard enough to see our family because of the corona virus and we now have that opportunity.
My parents havent seen their grandchildren since 5 years, and by the time our issue is resolved, the tickets might have gone too expensive for us to afford.
We saved our money for this occasion. Expedia is asking us to pay another 4 thousands euro on top of almost 7 thousands euro credit we already paid in 2021

If this is not a scam then what is it called?

PS: we did not wish to bore you with the amount of time and energy we deployed to get this voucher that Expedia denied us for months.
They ended up agreeing to this voucher after we called them out on social media.
