Liars and thieves
Liars and thieves. They refuse to acknowledge that they never paid us our refund, inventing wire transfers that don’t exist. This is outright FRAUD.

No customer service for gold members, no phone number to dial and since recently no option to chat with a customer service associate, only the stupid automatic responses that don’t solve your question/issue. Terrible! Taking into account I book around 1500 nights a year I expect a personalized support, at least an associate that helps when needed
Dishonerable company with no ethics
I bought airline tickets from Expedia for Frontier Airlines. I also purchased Travel Guard from Expedia to cover me in case of a cancellation. When I called Expedian not once but 3 times getting this very same response. The response was them hanging up on me after they asked the price of the ticket. Unreal. I see they have a rating of 1 star but it should be lower than that. I will never do airline, car rental or hotel with this (is it fair to say) fraudulent company, If you want to get dupped you have come to the right place.

My story with expedia not good at all it's a fraud I book a hotel on the 14 of december 2025 & I paid they confirmed the booking on 16 directly I cancelled it directly .but they say we will not refund the money because I booked a non refundable room .
What we called this action tell me . Be aware before you booked with this company

This company is a nightmare.
Due to the corona virus we had to cancel our Singapore airlines flight booked through Expedia in 2021, with departure in February 2022. We struggled to obtain a credit with Expedia that has to be used before end of 2023. Recently, we found a flight we wanted to book via Expedia. To use our credit we had to call the call center of Expedia and book a flight with Singapore airlines.
We told them that we found a flight that we wanted to book, we had to pay the difference of 200 euro but we were ok with that. Expedia then told us that they cannot see the flight we want to book on their system, instead they offered us another flight but we have to pay a difference of 4 thousands euro.
They said that the flight we saw on their system are not for the customers with credit, which didn't make any no sense at all. We respected the conditions that were imposed on us, but they just seemed to have created another unwritten conditions to extort more money from us.
We are obviously not happy at all about that situation and since we chose the Singapore Airline, we called them for help. They told us that the tickets are refundable under their Covid 19 policy. We then had to call back the Expedia (because Expedia was unable to reach their own suppliers (!!!)) Expedia told us that they cannot refund us our credit because they cannot get in touch with Singapore Airline.
Expedia even asked us to provide them with the phone number to call Singapore Airline.
This is just insane. We chose Expedia because we thought this was a big company and we trusted them. Obviously we made a huge mistake. This company does not care at all about customers and we feel hostage to the situation as the the contacts we have are changing every time we call, and we have to repeat our issue every single time.
The amount of time and energy spent with this company is enormous, and we still havent had any progress after 3 weeks of struggles and at least 15+ hours on the phone.
We though flight agents were there to helps us not to scam us.
It has been hard enough to see our family because of the corona virus and we now have that opportunity.
My parents havent seen their grandchildren since 5 years, and by the time our issue is resolved, the tickets might have gone too expensive for us to afford.
We saved our money for this occasion. Expedia is asking us to pay another 4 thousands euro on top of almost 7 thousands euro credit we already paid in 2021
If this is not a scam then what is it called?
PS: we did not wish to bore you with the amount of time and energy we deployed to get this voucher that Expedia denied us for months.
They ended up agreeing to this voucher after we called them out on social media.

Never think about booking with them
Hi,
I booked on 4 may 2023 morning on expedia website (via kayak) a fiat 500 for 5 days (from 4 may 2023 at 12 am to 9 may at 8 am) : 48 euros for the 5 days (almost 10 euros per day) - without the insurance.
I was with "OK mobility" (the name of care rent that expedia is working with!) and he (the person working in ok mobility) decided to cancel my booking because he does not accept the debit bank card.
In fact I was too disappointed for the below reasons:
- i Booked a fiat 500 -> OK mobility said they have only Peugeot 108
- garantee account : on expedia when I booked it was mentionned that it is just 1000 euros -> OK mobility asked me for 1200 euros
- Insurance on expedia website : 6 euros / day -> OK mobility asked me to pay 150 euros (for the 5 days : 30 euros / day)
- it wasnt mentioned on expedia website that you dont accept debit bank card -> OK mobility refused my debit bank card and told me that it will only be possible if i take the insurance (i should pay the 150 euros to accept my debit bank card)
Very bad experience - i lost 2 h hours doing the line (23 minutes/ person) and ended with going to another company (30 euros / day : full insurance included).
I am sharing with you my expérience as advice to avoid booking with them.
I sent an email to expedia (+ Phone call) to ask them for crediting back my bank account (since the booking was cancelled) and they said that they checked with OK mobility and they reject my request for getting back my money!
=> dont book with them..

AN UNRELIABLE, CORRUPT FRENCH COMPANY
Expedia France is an absolute joke. I wish I would have done proper research before booking with them because they clearly have a shocking track record. I booked a flight via them with KLM/Air France in June scheduled to depart on 09 October. On 21 September I received correspondence from KLM directly to notify me that the flight had been cancelled, however, no notification from Expedia. In fact, Expedia kept this flight live & available until the actual day of departure before cancelling. When I tried to claim a refund from KLM directly, I was told I had to go via the agency I booked with, however, Expedia France insisted this was not the case. After being sent around the bend due to their utter incompetence & lack of customer service, Expedia finally agreed to contact the airline and enquire for themselves. Who knows how these queries have been handled in the past since surely I could not have been the first one?! Unless they cross their fingers and hope people abandon the thought of getting a refund at all. It has been almost 3 weeks since then and I have received the same lacklustre response from them saying they are 'waiting for a response from the relevant department' - despite my follow up email containing numerous questions, they choose to ignore them and respond arrogantly in the hopes of me going away. How is it that this company is able to operate in this way? At the rate things are going, I am not too sure whether they have any intention of refunding me. What a disgrace of a company to the Expedia franchise and the French people.
UPDATE 16/02/2023 - I have still not received the refund which is due to me and continue to be sent around the bend by Expedia's shocking customer service.

We stayed 1h10 hour on the phone with somebody who could not help us to change our ticket. He offered to pay more than the original ticket just to change and explained that we could not do it ourselves. Finally, we could not change anything. 0 service. 0 efficency

DON'T USE EXPEDIA - they have changed!
We have used Expedia very happily for 8 years and we travelled a lot in that time. This year their service has changed and they have become shockingly unresponsive. We booked two hotel rooms for June this year but then cancelled them 3 months prior. They booking dropped off our app and we booked another hotel. The hotel then charged us for the booking when we did not arrive and when I disputed the issue, they said Expedia had not told them of the cancellation. Expedia agreed that we had cancelled within the correct period, but they still have not refunded the €380 for our two rooms.

Do not ever book anything with this company. EVER! their customer service is non-existent. The only thing they will do is to decline and send you back to the airline. Call center calls are just a loss of time and money too. You'll spend one hour on a waiting line and they will reply you that someone will call you back in 72h. Next day they'll send an e-mail declinig their competence. Save time and money and book directly with the airline!!!

Booked for 2 nights in a hotel
Booked for 2 nights in a hotel. I arrive at the front desk and i am being told that my booking was cancelled. Very hard to reach Expedia and reach some sort of resolution. On their end, the booking has never been cancelled and i am still waiting for my reimbursement - yet the payment was never transferred to the hotel and i had to pay the amount twice (more than 600€). Thinking about suing.

C'est innacceptable, je viens de passer un 9ème appel : les contradictions s'accumule et la crédibilité se perd. Un conseil: ne jamais réserver via cette agence.
If we could put 0 stars, I would. Since my trip was cancelled last April due to COVID 19, I can't get a refund! It's unacceptable, I just made a 9th call: the contradictions are piling up and credibility is being lost. A piece of advice: never book through this agency.

Suite à mon litige, je me rends compte que tant les clients que les professionnels sont otages de leurs pratiques.
J'ai fait deux réservations de séjours, annulées par moi en raison de la COVID. Situations exactement similaires, pour l'une j'ai obtenu un avoir, pour l'autre une fin de non recevoir.
Le traitement des dossiers par Expedia se fait non de façon légale mais aléatoire...

I HAD TO FIGHT TO CHANGE MOST OF THEM AND DEDICATE LOADS OF TIME VIA EMAIL AND CALLS TO DO SO AND FIND A SOLUTION AT ALMOST NO COST.
STILL STRUGGLING TO CHANGE THE DATES OR GET MY MONEY FOR 2 RESERVATIONS INVOLVING LOW COST AIRLINES IN ASIA.
