Late Collection, Slow Delivery — Avoid for Urgent Jobs
I use same-day carriers on a weekly basis. As part of our company protocol, I decided to trial a new platform to see if we could reduce costs — unfortunately, it turned out to be a complete disaster.
The website advises allowing a two-hour collection window, which isn’t ideal but acceptable. The booked collection window was 11:31–13:31 with delivery marked as ASAP. However, the driver didn’t arrive until 14:31, already outside the stated window, and then took a further two hours to deliver the goods.
Had I used our regular same-day carrier, the parcel would have been collected within 30 minutes and delivered far quicker, especially as the journey would have been made during off-peak hours.
If this shipment had been urgent, the service would have failed entirely. Based on this experience, I would not rely on this platform for time-critical deliveries.
