Complete Chaos + 6 breakdowns in 3 days.
Although the staff tries to be very friendly, they are clearly overwhelmed and lack the capacity to handle the demand. There are too few people working for the number of customers waiting — it’s complete chaos.
We were given a specific time to receive our boat, but it wasn’t ready. It was finally delivered three hours later than agreed. This is simply unacceptable for a service of this nature.
If you’re considering booking with Le Boat, I strongly recommend taking precautions and not planning to depart before 7:00 PM, no matter what time they say check-in is. Unfortunately, our initial experience was extremely frustrating.
That was the extent of the experience that day. That same night, we were left with a breakdown: no electrical system, no refrigerator. So the next day we had our first visit from the technician. Later, we had another breakdown, this time in one of the bathrooms. When the technician arrived, the second bathroom was also out of order. The technician managed to repair it. However, a strange smell still remained. On the third day, we had an engine breakdown. And in the afternoon, the heater also failed, shutting off every time we tried to start it. Unfortunately, these were days of rain and cold. Once the heater was repaired, what really pushed things over the edge was a problem with the black water tank. The pump had been installed incorrectly, causing complete chaos on board. We filed the corresponding complaints. We had to abandon the trip halfway through. They told us they would refund the money for the unused days. However, that has not happened, and we were informed that we must wait 28 days to receive a response. We are waiting. We hope the outcome will be favorable. I still have faith in them, despite everything we went through and the clear lack of maintenance on the boats. I hope they know how to respond appropriately.
