Southbound great, Northbound not so much
Travelled edi-lon and the lon-edi the night after. Trip down (club class, en suite) was great, no issues. Boarded an hour before departure and a smooth trip down. Trip up (classic class) was disrupted and awkward. Euston staff would not let classic class board the train that was present at the platform, until 5 minutes before departure, leaving a queue of people standing in the cold for an hour. On the return journey I was woken three times in the short night by a flashing white light and alarm. The train did not stop and it was unclear why this alarm sounded at all. I arrived unrested and confused, later than I should have done.
