Another chinese scam lighting company

Another chinese scam lighting company. Light didn't come with all the parts. I guess you get what you pay for but still it's not even worth it for the price they charge. Looks close to the original in the photos but in reality its crap. They charge for a good fake but this is a bad fake.

Vakker is Awful on All Levels

Vakker Lighting is just a crappy drop ship company from China. Their product is sub par, poorly designed, and customer service is non existent. They basically told us to go buy new mounting brackets at a hardware store because the ones provided were non functional.

- Shipping was awfully slow (because its drop shipped from China)
- Product build quality is awful (multiple issues with the mounting bracket and LED ballast that makes them unusable)
- Customer service is beyond awful - Don't expect to make any progress here or get a return authorized (despite their website claims)

Just avoid avoid avoid. There are better, more reliable options in the world.

Disappointed leading to frustrated

Fan arrived in the 11th hour… when we went to install and switch to a shorter down rod, the threading in the main assembly stripped, compromising the stability of the entire fan. While we bought the fan for the solid wood blades (which had scuff marks on one), the metals are clearly cheap and stripped with one use. We also felt the description of the light kit was not fully transparent. Based on the images, it looked like glass, but upon arrival it was stretched fabric with an oriental pattern that you had to really inspect the marketing materials to see. The fabric was in the description but had to be looked for. Not into a hide and seek shopping experience. When we brought our concerns to the help team, they were very responsive, but not very helpful. They even asked us to bring the stripped part to hardware store to see if they could fix the threading! Not worth the time and energy at this point. We’re just not happy with the fan and should be able to return it… but somehow we have to prove this is acceptable. Hoping to move on with life soon.

Never order anything from this firm. We ordered 4 sconces and when we received them we realized that they were too small so contacted them to send them back. Despite numerous efforts to contact them they have yet to respond (3 weeks and counting). We're out over $800...

Black Pipe Chandelier

Like many others, I read the bad reviews for this brand after I ordered the product. I was worried that it might be a scam. However, I stayed in touch with their customer service and was assured that the product was in transit. I did not mind the wait and understand that the international transit situation or customs can be uncertain. After the product arrived in the US, I received a fast delivery since I asked for it in email. It took 2 days to arrive after it passed customs. The chandelier was in a crate! It was very heavily packed, and everything was fine. I like the product so far. Will see how long it lasts and maybe post another review in future. If you expect a fast delivery, I do not recommend this brand. Buy it on sale when you have the patience to wait.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!!! It is a scam from China. They claim to have an office in Baltimore but Google says it is permanently closed. I ordered lights from them in mid September. They immediately charged my credit card. Then advised the lights were coming from China. Did not arrive for over two months. When I tried to return them they told me I had to return them to China. After a bunch of emails I got most but not all of my money back. They told me to keep the lights (which I no longer wanted). This is not a legitimate business!

Slow shipping, faulty product, terrible service.

UPDATE: company insists they delivered in 4 weeks. They apparently start the shipping clock when the item reaches the US - the month it took to arrive from China doesn’t count! What a scam. After seeing my review they tried to bribe me to take it down - they initially offered a 15% discount as a token of appreciation but after I agreed to this said I’d need to remove the review first. Totally dishonest company. Looking into filing a criminal complaint.

Shipping took FOREVER - fans were drop shipped from China and tools almost 2 months to arrive (EDIT: ordered 5-22, delivered 7-15 - their reply that it took 4 weeks is absolutely FALSE - it was 7+ weeks). Light disc on one fan died after one day. When I substituted the light disc from the second fan it works fine meaning the problem is clearly the first light disc (not a bulb - a plastic disc with LEDs in it). I wrote to customer service explaining this and they are repeatedly demanding pictures or a video to help them understand the problem. There is literally nothing a picture can help them understand about this that the words do not already explain - poor service seemingly intended to waste their customer’s time. Would never order from them again and absolutely do not recommend.

Terrible .
I wish had looked up these reviews before ordering it.
The company is in China and they ship out of China. The light bulb took 8 weeks to arrive. It was mentioned the light is warm. But that was a joke. It’s bright and blinding.
And if you want to return, they will charge you 80$ for the shipment.

I would give it less that one star

I would give it less that one star. DO NOT order from them. I looked up the company to make sure it was made in the US and saw that it was, but it isn't. The light we ordered came in a box at least 6 weeks from the order date. It wasn't put together, but a box of parts that we had to assemble. Save yourself trouble and order light fixtures elsewhere. There wasn't any instructions in the box of parts. I had to contact the company and that's when they sent a video link.

When you place the order, one expects a fixture ready to install, not a box of parts.

I stand by my review-it would be less than 1 star.

No actual returns, Unprofessional, Cheap product, huge carbon footprint

There actually is no hassle free return. This company effectively does not offer returns. When the light I ordered was too small for the space they told me I would have to pay to ship it back to Asia and they would offer a refund of 15%. Also- it was shipped from China and packed in styrofoam. No installation instructions. Bad experience from the moment I clicked "buy." These lights are not worth it.

Scam company

I ordered a light, they took my money and never sent anything. Their customer service was unreachable. I had to claim fraud on my credit card. BUYER BEWARE this has got to be a scam company.

Cheap garbage from China

Cheap garbage from China. Totally a scam site. I ordered blown glass wall lamps that took forever to get here with fake tracking information. When it finally came, the "glass" shades were cheap plastic that didn't look anything like glass and wasnt even see-through. I paid over a hundred dollars each and got something totally worthless and ugly. Can't return due to it coming from China.

This is a scam company. Do not buy!!!

The lamp took over the quoted 5-6 weeks to arrive. I paid the extra $10 dollars for the "Order Armor" which promised ease of refund and protection if the product was faulty. The lamp cost $145 dollars but upon unpacking, I found that it was a very very cheap, low quality lamp. The seams did not line up on the canvas lamp shade, the glue job was terrible, and the metal piece which attached to the wall had loose wiring. I love lamps and buy and rewire them all the time but in my experience, this was a shoddy product that would cost maybe 15-30 dollars in another store (Target, etc.). I immediately requested a return/refund from their info@vakkerlight customer email address. I'm now on my third email from them where they refuse to accept the return and they're offering me first 10%, then 20%, then 25% of my refund despite the fact that I purchased an Order Armor protection for an extra $10 dollars. I'm going to continue writing honest reviews of my terrible experience with this company on social media and other review sites because consumers should know what they're getting into.

Unable to return a chandelier that was never used or removed from its box

I purchased a chandelier for my kitchen, however, after the cabinets were installed, my contractor and I realized that the light is too large and cannot go in the location that I originally wanted to put it. It was never installed or taken out of the box. I want to return it, but they refuse to tell me the cost to return it. Instead they want to offer me 10% to keep it or find another light and pay for its shipping. So, options are buy their product and keep it regardless or give them more money for them to send you another of their products. Feels like a scam. I would avoid buying anything from this company.
