Hahaha I love that. I agree, though the only addendum I’d make is that they really like each other, but they can’t for the life of them figure out how the other person is in love with such an idiot/egomaniac. So they constantly make playful digs at each other (in good spirit)

My personal headcanon is not that female hedgehogs don’t ever have back quills (after all, Classic!Amy has back spines even though I don’t prefer to draw her with them) –

– Instead, my headcanon is that back quills are not as common in female hedgehogs. Aurora just happens to have them.

My thoughts behind giving her them was that it would make sense that she needs them to better defend herself since she’s smaller than average and not super strong, but also to give her a character flaw since she’s so self conscious about them and envious of other female hedgehogs who don’t have them.

I don’t treat the Twitter takeovers as canon, they’re just for fun.

However, I do believe that Amy is one of the few people Shadow considers a friend, so if he was going to agree to go to a concert with anyone, it’d be Amy.

Specifically in my AU, after Shadow returns to Earth, he and Amy don’t really hang out much. But if she asked him to attend a concert with her, I’m sure he’d agree (maybe a little reluctantly).

My friend @paddy-nic once wrote a fic about Aurora and Shadow attending a concert together, and I drew fanart for that story. I don’t think Shadow would regularly want to attend concerts that much (Aurora does that kind of thing with Sage), but once Aurora begins her music career and she’s a touring performer, Shadow never misses a single one of her concerts 🥰

Shadora - Shadow and Aurora have complete opposite tastes in movies, so they take turns on who gets to pick (Shadow prefers horror/suspense ((which Aurora is TERRIFIED OF)) and Aurora prefers super lighthearted, upbeat flicks ((that Shadow often finds boring/predictable))). They’ve come to find that watching classic horror movies (“Dracula,” “The Wolf Man,” “Creature from the Black Lagoon,” etc) has been a good middle ground because the story is still thrilling but the costumes are so unrealistic that it’s not too spooky. They also find the occasional B horror movie (the really dumb, laughable kind of horror movie) entertaining, though Aurora doesn’t like the gory kind. Shadow doesn’t really like to snack but Aurora always needs to have some red licorice and other fruity sweet/sour candies, especially to distract her from scary stuff.

Sonamy - Their favorites to watch together are action romcoms, the kind of movies that pack a punch but are full of laughs and romantic/sexy moments too (“Knight and Day,” “Game Night,” “The Lost City,” etc.). Amy always makes a huge, elaborate spread of snacks and will usually theme it based on the movie they’re watching; picture things like a DIY hot chocolate platter, an assortment of homemade cookies and cakes, savory appetizers, etc.

CCXTails - They find sci-fi movies entertaining, but only because they like to pick them apart and point out everything that’s inaccurate or not feasible. Otherwise, they prefer to watch documentaries. CC cannot eat (at least not until she becomes organic) but she always makes sure to bring a bowl of mint candies for Tails. She also likes to show off her blow-torch arm attachment to whip up some popcorn!

Knuxouge - I don’t think these two enjoy watching movies all that much. I see them as the type to turn the tv on but then they’re both on their phones or occupied otherwise. However, I could see them accidentally enjoying similar tv shows (ex: Knuckles is watching some standup comedian and Rouge finds herself laughing more than expected so she sits on his lap to watch the rest of it; Rouge is watching one of her “reality” tv shows and Knux initially makes fun of it but then is sucked into the drama). There’s always a bowl of grapes on the table for them both to pick at while they mindlessly watch tv.

Metal Sonic for sure, since in TMOSTH we see that Metal Sonic considers Eggman his dad and even in some of the animated shorts we see that Metal and Eggman have a weird-if-not-somewhat-caring relationship. Also I’m certain I remember Sage referring to Orbot and Cubot as her ‘brothers’ in Sonic Frontiers, so they’d count too.

I don’t think the Mecha Sonics count, though. From a technical standpoint yes they all have the same creator, but I think emotional and psychological attachments play a big role in what you can consider family and that’s where I think it doesn’t apply. Eggman seemed to give up on them pretty quickly and – at least in the case of MK II – they resent him for abandoning them. I don’t believe Eggman started forming a bond with his creations until he created Metal Sonic, and that’s when he started viewing them as more than just weapons. And only by the time he creates Sage do those bonds become 'emotional bonds’ and he actually calls himself a father.

(I also don’t include Belle the Tinkerer, since she outright objects to “Eggman” being her father.)

These are all my headcanons though, you can picture whatever you want for yourself!

I am completely on board with you right up until the end. There’s no WAY Amias would scold Sony for that! 😂 Amy/Amias is all for Sonic/Sony living free in every sense of the word, so what Sony wants to wear (or not wear) in the privacy of their home is completely acceptable!

That doesn’t mean Amias doesn’t get totally flustered by it though (but he sure doesn’t mind!)
