Providers - RUN!
I am a vendor with KidPass since it was created by Solomon (we used to teach his child too) . So it has been close to 10 years partnership. Since KidPass got acquired by Begin, it has been nothing, but a downhill!
The main issue - my school doesn't get paid on time at all! It is the mid November and I am still waiting for August payment! My teachers are relaying on their earnings to pay bills, so do I.
KidPass doesn't even pay their own employees (Yes, I know that for sure as I have it in writing from one of their guys) and it is just a terrible experience continuing dealing with them!
Vendors - beware!
Edited to add:
What KidPass used to be and what is now, are 2 completely different companies. You will see 5 star reviews from few years ago in here. Yes, they were exceptional and wonderful to deal with. But once BEGIN purchased them, everything went up in flames, hence the negative reviews in the most recent years....
Update as of 12/16/2025. I have not seeing a penny, nor have heard from anyone from KidPass. A legal auction to collect my funds is in works.
Their address is not the one posted here.
Avoid This Platform
Avoid This Platform – Zero Accountability When Things Go Wrong
We’ve been with KidPass since its inception and had trusted it completely—until now. This experience has been an absolute nightmare.
We purchased a 10-class pack for our daughter after a great trial session. But from the very first class, there were major technical issues on the provider’s end, making it impossible for our child to participate. What’s worse? KidPass refused to take responsibility.
Despite repeated requests for cancellation and refund, we were met with endless delays, unhelpful responses, and no resolution. Weeks later, we’ve been forced to dispute the charge with our credit card company and are filing formal complaints with the FTC, NY Attorney General’s Consumer Frauds Bureau, and BBB.
Prospective clients, be warned: If something goes wrong, KidPass may leave you stranded—your money tied up and your child missing out. This is no way to treat loyal customers.
We appreciate Kidpass’s help in our children’s education.
Yes, I agree they were expensive and the price was increasing every year like lots of other tutoring services. However, Kidpass kept their commitment and provided with in person and online tutor on demand. They also refunded back the left over credit hour money when they stopped giving tutoring after March, 2024. We appreciate Kidpass’s help in our children’s education.
Unfortunate experience especially during the pandemic
Just like many of these reviews I was a customer for years before the pandemic. I started accumulating probably over more then 1000 dollars worth of credits. There were always classes I could have my daughter take. Because during the pandemic everything was online. I trying to keep my account as long as possible so I wouldn’t loose my credit …but it became impossible. Plus after loosing my job I was unable to keep the subscription and lost all this money. Terrible don’t do it.
just be warned, it’s a subscription based company that is money first
I’ve been with Kidpass for years. Pre-pandemic so more than 3. This is a very stingy money first company. Because they are a subscription based company they have over the years been creating anti-customer policies to keep the pressure on you to spend. I’ve been trapped for years to maintain my account under the threat of losing my credits if I cancel my account and I hate it. I have used my account off and on and I would love to continue to use my account when it suits my family conveniently but Kidpass does not care about that. They let you put a pause or hold on your account for up to 3 months, which seems reasonable but for me during COVID and during school months it becomes not sufficient. You cannot continue to hold past three months. There policy is you must pay for another month’s subscription before holding again. Previously they would not let you use your credits while on hold but they did change that and it was a big improvement for us who had a ton of credits built up. Overall if you join Kidpass you will pressure to use the credit and manage very closely that you don’t accumulate too many. This year they supposedly re-enacted a expiration policy. No credits over 90 days expire, which for many of use old customer applies to us. I nearly lost hundred of credits but got them back after fighting with customer service. I don’t see any reason for them to have an expiration policy at all… us customers bought and paid for these credits. I guess they don’t want customers buying credits in bulk because they want to keep increasing their prices for classes. Which they have done over the years. But they really de-incentivized us from buying credits or maintain our accounts for long term. If you cancel your subscription then all your credits are lost completely.
As for the classes. It’s been hard for me to use up my old credits because there is nothing good on Kidpass. I once spent two credits on a dance class that was pre-recorded. I literally could have found something similar and free on YouTube. I live in nor-cal Bay Area, there is zero in person classes. Everything is 100% online. It was better before 2020 there was a lot of good options. Not anymore. I did back before 2020 have issues with no show teachers for jn person classes but did not experience that with any online. The only good online classes I can recommend is online academic tutoring, for which it has been a good experience and I would continue to do it again but won’t because Kid Pass hates it’s own customers. So I will just try to work with the tutor outside of Kidpass, which is probably better for the tutors pay-wise.
Kidpass is a complete scam
Kidpass is a complete scam. Like the other reviews said, all they care about is to scam you for money. We accumulated 3 years of credits (more than $650 value). We paused our account in May in Hope to resume after using up accumulated credits. Kidpass then cleared up all of our credits without any notice in June. And they refused to refund our money or reinstate our credits. They rewards loyal customers with robbery.
Corrupt company
Corrupt company. I was a loyal costumer for several years. The company began to raise the number of credits for each class, making it significantly more expensive. I had accumulated over a years worth of credits, and was told if I did not continue paying for my account all of these credits would be lost. Sure enough, when I requested to no longer pay for my account this happened and they took $250 worth of class credit, despite my escalating up to a manager. This is a scam of a company, who is happy to take people’s money and give them nothing in return. Extremely disappointing and upsetting.

KidPass has been a great way for my children and I to experience different activities around the neighbourhood. We love it!

So far it has been a great experience with KidPass. Custumer service is excellent and my child has been able to explore many activities we didn't even know were around the corner of our home. Love the variety of classes because my daughter can try new things all the time and not get bored. Music and open play are her favorites!
KidPass is amazing
KidPass is amazing. It's allowed me to take my toddler to many activities that we would never have experienced without it. We have explored so many fun options in our neighborhood and made great friends too! There are so many options, everyone is very happy.
I absolutely love KidPass
I absolutely love KidPass. Great way to try out all different classes. I recommend it to all new moms. The flexibility is great. Any time I've needed help with customer service issues, they've been super helpful as well. Can't say enough about KidPass. So happy you exist!

Love KidPass and use it for a lot of kids activities for both my kids! It's a great app that lets me try different activities and instructors to see what my kids like before purchasing a bigger package and committing to a semester of activities or classes. The flexibility is great as you can book things day of, and the prices make it cheaper to try things out than paying full price for a session.
Life saver for parents! Great service
Life saver for parents! Great service that my friends had recommended to me, and which I recommend to other parent friends and in mom groups all the time. Customer service responds really quickly if there is ever an issue and they always find out ways to help customers going above and beyond with issuing credit if needed. Love it!
Wonderful Platform & Wonderful Students
KidPass is a wonderful platform! I teach on KidPass and the company is responsive and deals with all issues that arise. I thoroughly enjoy teaching on their website! I have never missed one lesson! I am always punctual! My students are repeat students and the parents are happy. As for one review stating that the poor reviews are not shown, this is totally untrue!
Avoid KidPass, No show teachers, automatically charge even though i cancelled.
I could almost never log in. Tried to cancel and they kep charging me. When i did login, teachers often failed to show. Other reviews say the project just fell apart. Avoid it.

I really enjoy the flexibility and value of Kidpass! Love exploring different classes around the city and love their free online classes and other special perks.
The worst
The worst! They have no idea what they are doing. At first, I think they had a good concept, so I joined as a teacher, however, they have fallen apart completely. They are only sales-driven, and offer zero support. I would in no way be exaggerating to say that over the last several months, I have attempted a grand total of nearly 40 times to solicit a response from them. They do not answer, never reply. They ignore you. I have not been paid, and they don't care. Be very wary!

I paid upfront to get a tutor for my brother and we were more than flexible by working around their hours. The tutor stated the times and days they were available. For the first session, the tutor was a no show. I emailed them and even the person who was in charge of the tutor matching process —no answer. I also messaged the tutor on the dashboard —no answer. Hoping that the tutor was all right, my little brother had another session two days later which resulted in another no-show. I understand that things come up but it would have been nice of them to let us know beforehand of the no-show. My brother was excited to begin tutoring and get homework help but he was so disappointed and upset. Literally so unprofessional and unreliable
