In 2019, I released a 5-song mini-album "Big Data".

This work has a new wave, electropop sound featuring vocoder and guitar.

After releasing my previous album "Holographic Sky", the music I wanted to make changed.

I had been performing live using a vocoder around 2005, and I wanted to try making music in the same style again, so I started making music around 2017.

During this period, I was also simultaneously producing copyright-free background music, so it took about two years to produce this 5-song mini-album.

For the vocoder, I bought a second-hand "microKORG" that I had used before but had already gotten rid of, and recorded it on it.

I also used plug-in synth sounds, but I recorded a wide variety of sounds, including guitars, hardware synths, and metal sounds.

The drums are from a volcaDrum, the sequences and other sounds are from a microKORG, the metal sounds are from hitting a washing machine, and the guitar is a recording of me playing it myself, so it was a lot of work and difficult to put together.

Musically, the influence of techno pop and new wave, which are some of my roots, is strong.

I had kept that kind of music under my belt for a long time because I thought it was old-fashioned, but I got bored of high-speed drum and bass and processing sounds with plugins, so I revealed my true self in this album.

As a result, I feel that the album is full of good energy. I hope you will enjoy it for a long time.

2019年、5曲入りミニ・アルバム「Big Data」をリリースしました。

本作は、ボコーダーやギターをフィーチャーした、ニューウェイブ、エレクトロポップなサウンドになっています。

前作の「Holographic Sky」をリリースした後に作りたい音楽が変化してきました。

自分は2005年頃にボコーダーを使用したライブを行っていたのですが、またその時と同じスタイルの音楽を作ってみたくなり2017年頃から制作をスタートさせました。

この時期は著作権フリーのBGM制作も同時進行で制作していましたので、5曲入りのミニ・アルバムを制作するのに2年位かかりました。

ボコーダーには、以前使っていたけどすでに手放してしまった"microKORG"を中古で再購入して録音しました。

プラグインのシンセ音色も使ってはいますが、ギターやハードウェア・シンセ、金属音など、かなり色々な音を録音してあります。

ドラムは"volcaDrum"、シーケンスなどの音色は"microKORG"、金属音は洗濯機を叩き、ギターは自分で弾いた音を録音してあるため、手間がかかっていますし、まとめるのが大変でした。

音楽的には自分のルーツの一つである、テクノ・ポップや、ニューウェイブなどの影響が色濃く出ています。

そういった音楽は自分の中では古いと思っていたのでずっと封印していたのですが、高速ドラムンベースや、プラグインで音を加工する手法に飽きてしまい、本作では素の自分をさらけ出しました。

その結果、良いエネルギーがこもった作品に仕上がったと感じています。長く楽しんでいただければ幸いです。
