I’d like to make my final post of 2025 altogether, having done 2025’s last Matrix and bee posts earlier today. This year was when I had probably the most positives as well as the most negatives. In terms of the negatives, my relationship ended with my first now ex-BF when he dumped me in October, I had a sensory meltdown last month for the first time all year, and I’m still searching for my first-ever job, which has caused my emotional wellbeing and my self esteem to dip on some days because of the rejections and the fact that at the moment I thus have to be ultra-careful about my savings.

But here are the positives: I turned twenty-one, I graduated from university with a Bachelor’s Degree for which my final grade was a First, I had my first relationship and by extension my first kiss, I’ve made the most progress this year on my first go at a book after I started it in the summer last year, I collected a lot more Matrix merch and bee-themed things, and I’ve had fun getting into Hitman and Planet 51 as some more side fandoms. I’ve also just had a highly enjoyable and love-riddled Christmas with my parents and IRL friends who know me so well, and the majority of my initial difficult days from job rejections are now behind me as I’ve decided to properly adopt Neo’s approach of carrying on trying because I choose to. 💝

And in addition, another of the high points of 2025 has been getting to properly meet my Tumblr mooties who I’ve found out are in the Matrix fandom with me, such as @daria-a-random-artist-81, @gunn-hinge, @leathercircuits, @s-h-a-s-e and @cats-coding-on-my-keeb, to name only a few out of several more. I’ve noticed that a handful of you lot tick more than one mutual fandom box with me, as well, which enhances the fun experience of the messages and comment replies I share with you. 😘

And I know I might not always share long and thrilling exchanges with you, but it doesn’t mean in the slightest that I’ve forgotten any of you. I’m going to use a quote for you guys, and for my longer-standing Internet friends like @kitts-mechanix, from Valerie in V For Vendetta that I quite like: “What I hope most of all is that you understand what I mean when I tell you that, even though I do not know you, and even though I may never meet you, laugh with you, cry with you, or kiss you, I love you. With all my heart, I love you.” 🫶

I know there’s a lot on my horizon for 2026 that I want to arrive at, like finishing my first book concept’s final chapters and hopefully getting to set the wheels in motion for its release. Let’s make it a fantastic year full of promise for all of us. 🌃🎇
